We had very uncomfortable bed mattress - too soft and creaky old double bed. But it was only in room 406. Our friends in different rooms had very comfortable mattresses and the same our children in single beds.

Huge family rooms, great garden, close to all attractions around Sigirija. Very silent AC and ceiling fan. Good WiFi. Dinners - ok, but nothing special, very simple and not too big choice. Rooms are very clean. Garden could be better kept.

They have a major insect problem in the rooms. The bees are attracted to the light and they come inside room sometimes even though the staff is helpful but it still is an issue

It's a hidden gem inside the jungle in Habarana/Sigiriya area. Even though a little gloomy and showing their age the rooms are spacious and well appointed. The furniture is made of solid wood. The bathroom is large and well equipped. The guests should park their vehicles at the car park near the gate from where they are taken in electric carts. The food served at the restaurant is delicious. There are enough walking pathways inside the hotel land as well as outside in the villages. However, don't venture out early in the morning and the evening especially alone since there can be an occasional elephant in the vicinity.

The location was great for trips to Dambulla, and Sigiriya, and Minneriya national park. It was very spread out and it felt like no one was staying there. There were 2 pools, one was very refreshing and the main one got a little warm, bot h were very clean. The bathrooms were dated but fine, there was hot water. We had 3 rooms and 1 of the rooms had a fridge. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke pretty good english. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and really enjoyed it and the monkeys that would come and say hi.

While our overall experience was enjoyable, there were a few aspects that could be improved. Firstly, the buffet didn’t quite meet our expectations. The food quality was somewhat underwhelming—though perhaps it just didn’t align with my taste. Additionally, the variety of dishes was rather limited, which left us wishing for more options. However, considering the price we paid, it was still a reasonable offering. Although the rooms were spacious and comfortable, having a balcony would have been a great addition to enhance the experience further. It would have provided a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. We did appreciate the hotel's effort to maintain a natural, forest-like ambience, which added a unique charm to the stay. However, a bit more tidiness and organization such as trimming some trees and refining the landscape could strike a better balance between preserving nature and offering a well-maintained environment for guests. Overall, while these aspects didn’t diminish our positive experience, a few improvements could make the stay even better.

We had an amazing experience during our stay! First and foremost, the staff was fantastic, so friendly, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help. Their warm hospitality truly made us feel welcome. The rooms exceeded our expectations in terms of size and comfort, which was a pleasant surprise and added to our overall enjoyment. What truly stood out was the thoughtful gesture from the team. It happened to be my father’s birthday during our stay, and when I inquired about arranging a small surprise, they went above and beyond by organizing a lovely cake at the dinner buffet, completely free of charge. This unexpected kindness made the celebration even more special and memorable for all of us. We were genuinely touched by their effort and couldn’t be happier with our stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for exceptional service and a wonderful experience!

One of the air conditioners in the room we booked wasn’t working properly and was making a loud noise which made it difficult to sleep. The remote controls for the A/C and tv needed new batteries. The hotel didn’t have a baby feeding chair which made it a little difficult since we had a baby with us. Also, there are a lot of flies in the restaurant which is quite unhygienic since they were all over our food and the restaurant is an open restaurant.

Beautiful property with lots of nature and the sounds of wildlife. We booked a family suite that was very big and spacious and the beds were very big. The staff were very friendly and professional and were always ready to assist us with our inquiries. They kept checking on us and were always asking if we needed anything. The manager was very friendly and went out of his way to satisfy our requests. The resort was only a 30 minute drive from sigiriya rock. You can also book other activities at the hotel like a safari or a local village tour which we enjoyed with the family. The food was good too and the staff prepared the food the way we liked it which was another plus.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was mainly a Sri Lankan spread but the food was quite good the pool needed some upkeep, the rooms and toilets were very large but also needed some upkeep, Overall the location is quite Convenient and the staff was very supportive so can overlook any flaws in the facilities in the mainly I think due to the lack of tourism over the past years due to Covid and other issues.

Visited Srilanka with family in Dec 24. It is a beautiful property, large rooms n big bathrooms, very pleasant stay..breakfast, they offered English and traditional Srilankan breakfast, we are pure vegetarian, got good option. Food was tasty. Property is well maintained, staff is very polite and helpful, highly recommend.

This was our second stay at the Pinthaliya Resort, and once again, it turned out to be a truly memorable experience. The resort’s breathtaking location immerses you in the heart of nature, offering the serene feeling of living in the jungle. One of our favorite features was the stunning swimming pool, beautifully surrounded by lush trees. The hospitality was exceptional, with every member of the staff being incredibly friendly and supportive throughout our stay.
