It was a little bit hard the communication in english, also some glasses and water in the room would have been nice. But these are small disadvantages, the place is fantastic.

Very beautiful place, clean with fantastic view over the lagoon. 5 min. walking to the turtle beach, where we saw a lot of turtles coming out of the sea at night. Fantastic terrace with view directly over the lagoon, it was very relaxing and we saw a lot of birds. Delicious breаkfast. Totally recommend the place.

I had a wonderful stay at Pearl Cave Cabanas. The room on the second floor is very spacious and there are a lot of places you can put down your things. The bathroom was also exceptional. I absolutely loved the balcony with the hammock where you can spend hours just watching the birds in the lagoon. Sureka was lovely and always offered me recommendations on things to do in the area. She also gave me a lift to the main road at the end of my stay. I also really enjoyed the food which you can get at fair prices. There are also a lot of other great restaurants easily reached by foot. I can only recommend this place.

It's far off the city, but it's a fair price to pay if you want to be in the middle of nature.

The view is simply amazing; I have rarely encountered a place this beautiful. Surrounded by nature, with plenty of animals and birds, it offers complete peace, free from traffic and city noise. The apartment is very clean and well equipped. The staff is exceptionally kind and always ready to accommodate your every need. During my stay, I had a medical emergency, and they went above and beyond to assist me.

Everything in this place is perfect. It’s the best place we’ve stayed until now. It’s quiet, the view is amazing and the bed is big and confortable. We had a car but it may be a bit far without one. The beach where baby turtles get into the water is 10 min walking. Anyhow, we’ve stayed 5 nights and loved it !

Relaxing rooms facing a lake. The atmosphere is very relaxing, there's a private balcony, hammock and the possibility to eat in the restaurant. The beach is only a short walk away.

Beautiful ample comfortable room, immaculately clean and the aircon works very well. From the verandah of the room I had the most beautiful view of the Lagoon and the hammock and the armchairs provided were great for relaxing and unwind. The place is located only minutes away from the beautiful Tangalle beach.The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I highly recommend the Pearl Cave Cabanas and their restaurant

Perfect room, view, service and value. It’s so nice there I wish I stayed longer, I highly recommend staying 2 nights minimum there just to have time to enjoy the place.

We loved everything! Note that the location is a bit far from Tangalle city - this was perfect for us, more peace and quiet at the beach, but be aware of this!

This was the best place we've been during our 2,5 weeks in Sri Lanka! Room was spacious, clean and with working A/C + fan. The host was very hospitable and cooked us delicious food. We rented a scooter in fair price from her to visit Dikwella and Silent Beach. The beach nearby is also peaceful and beautiful, and there is a perfect place for swimming nearby! We could have stayed for weeks!

Lots of highlights - beautiful garden and lake with lots of birds, the very welcoming host who is also an excellent chef (we LOVED her Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners), delicious wood apple juice and coconut water, close proximity to a secluded and peaceful beach. The upstairs room was huge, most comfortable and had everything we needed. The pillows and the mattress were of high quality. The wooden armchairs and the hammock on the (huge) terrace were excellent for relaxing and bird watching.

This was such a calm stay, exactly what we needeed. We had a room with our own tarrace with hammock table and chairs. The area is full of nature - all kind of birds, especially peacocks! It felt like living in some kind of sanctuary. The lady host was super nice, we dined in the restaurants all 4 days. Wifi is good. Definitely recommended!

Nothing. But you need to arrange your own transport for this place.

We stayed 3 nights in february, it was wonderful. The lady made us feel at home, the food was very nice and tasty, the room was nice and clean. The location is next to a little lagoon lake, with many birds, and a short walk will bring you to the ocean in only 10 minutes. It was a peaceful and quiet place, we would like to come back here anytime.

Perfect

The owner is so friendly and really made the stay perfect. A great cook and a great sense of humour. The room was large with a great balcony and really clean. Nearby is one of the best beaches I have been to, a real untouched gem. Ended up extending my stay as it was so lovely. Amazing wildlife to be seen from the room, peacocks and monkeys. You should stay here.

All good!!!

It is a beautiful quiet place where Sureka offers good and kind service and good food. Just two rooms with a lot of privacy. The view is great: you can spot lots of animals just from your hammock. The beach is just a couple of minutes away. Very convenient if you want to see the turtles. And also a great stretch of almost unspoiled beach with hardly anyone to bump into. Especially if you are up early.

It is off the beaten path, which is what we wanted. But if you want nearby stores or access to cafes and restaurants - your choice will be limited to a few options. Which was fine for us, but one should prepare. No activities nearby, except turtle watching (7 min on foot).

Freshly made Sri Lankan breakfast was amazing! There is a variety of options, all of them delicious and can be altered depending on your needs. Everything was wonderful and we can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant. The hostess was helpful and attentive. The view amazing, it is the perfect spot for a retreat in nature. The restaurant offers a comfortable area in the shade, where one can relax in addition to the balcony/veranda of the rooms.
