Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAs stated above any questions or minor issues, like the gas for the cooker ran out Geeth addressed very quickly. There is nothing we didn't like and can see why Geeth is rewarded with regular returning clients who know that this is a hidden gem of a place. It is difficult to find though initially, take Geeth's recommendation on how best to arrive so you don't get lost!
We stayed longer than originally planned because this property far exceeded our expectations. It was great for these reasons: - superb large space apartment, armchairs, dining area, kitchen, roof terrace - bathroom with electrically heated shower so plentiful supply of hot water - very comfortable 180cm bed - swimming pool whilst only 5m long is big enough for two people and a good depth with two sun loungers - lovely gardens and several seating areas around the garden - Geeth and his family are superb hosts bringing food offerings from the garden or items they have prepared, always helpful and reacted quickly if anything was needed or had questions

GermanyWe’ve travelled all around Sri Lanka for 3 months and glad we found this hidden gem, absolutely an highlight of our entire time. The villa is set in a peaceful green garden with a nice pool. There are only 3 rooms, the one on the second floor with an outdoor kitchen. The owner was so kind that he opened this room for our use too. Our room upstairs was airy, comfortable, clean, spacious, own wifi router and even bathrobes were available. We stayed for a week, and would have extended if it wasn’t full already. Geeth, the owner is a warm, welcoming, extremely kind person. He showed us many plants in his garden, it’s like a botanical garden, he is very knowledgeable about the plants. He brought us fresh fruits from his garden, and even invited us for dinner at his family home. On our departure day he brought breakfast, and then even gave us sone more fruits for the journey, as well as super fresh black pepper to take home. Sri Lankan people are stars in hospitality but Geeth is a different level. We felt comfortable from start to finish and would stay again in a heartbeat. We can recommend his place to everyone. If you find it available, consider yourself lucky and simply book it. Many thanks Geeth and your family for the fantastic stay.

AustriaThe stay at had at peaceful green villa was the best we had so far. We stayed for 3 nights at the oasis in the jungle and loved the energy of this wonderful place. It is literally a penthouse suite over the jungle with proximity to the beach. The host was super attentive and very responsive to every need we had. I can highly recommend this place. We will stay next time for sure longer.

AustraliaWow this is a hidden gem in the middle of the jungle. The room was really stunning and had the most amazing view of the jungle and sunrise. The owner Geet was the most accomodation host I have met in Sri Lanka, I arrived late and had not eaten and he brought me dinner from his own house. The next day I had a flat tyre and he took my bike away on foot and returned hours later with it fixed. What a lovely guy and family he has. I enjoyed my stay so much, very peaceful and relaxing , exactly what I was looking for . Also the pool was beautiful and a great touch

South KoreaPeaceful Green Villa is a true gem, a stunning sanctuary surrounded by tropical jungle and the serene sounds of nature. It is a place to relax, unwind and let go of all of life’s stresses while enjoying all of the beauty that Sri Lanka has to offer. We stumbled upon this place by accident while exploring the neighborhood on foot and I’m so glad we did! We ended up staying for 6 months and enjoyed every moment of living here! This villa not only has one of the most epic views from the rooftop, a gorgeous pool, a bathtub overlooking the jungle, a fish pond, beautiful landscaping, and strong internet… it is also within walking distance to the serene and elegant Sri Yoga Shala studio and the world-class luxury fitness retreat and gym, Mikahiya Fitness. During our 6 months here we worked as digital nomads making use of all of these amenities. On top of this, the beach is about a 20 minute walk or 5 minute tuk-tuk/scooter ride from here. At the beach, Wijaya restaurant became one of our favorite spots to hang out and watch the iconic Sri Lankan sunsets. As did Agnus Hotel which has a phenomenal ocean view bar/ restaurant and The Hideout which has amaaaazing tacos! The owner, Gheet, and his family and friends will take amazing care of you! They can arrange tours, tuk-tuks, scooters, laundry and so much more. And oh my goodness, their food is amazing! We give this place 10 stars and look forward to the day we can bring our family for a visit so that they can… •swim in the pool under a full moon while the fireflies light up the sky •drink tea on the rooftop while watching the sun rise •make friends with the purple-faced leaf monkeys that hang out in the palm trees •enjoy cocktails under the stars This will be our go to spot in southern Sri Lanka. If you end up staying here, consider yourself blessed.

AustraliaThe lack of signage to the property made it a little hard to find.
My partner and I spent the last 3 days of our Sr Lanka trip here and it was the perfect way to finish our holiday. our host was very friendly and always happy to help us organise transport and suggesting activities. The garden was very beautiful and well maintained with a clean cool pool perfect for finishing the day in. The view from the roof gives a 360 degree view of the jungle and is the perfect place to sit and read or watch the sun go up/down. It’s only a short walk with a convenient shortcut from the property to the nearby beaches and restaurants, which is a pleasant cool evening walk especially when the fireflies are out. I honestly cannot recommend this place highly enough, one of the best places I’ve ever stayed

United KingdomWould have benefitted from mosquito candles and the toilet being secured to the floor, there was a leak from the inlet too
Great breakfast, an awesome host! The property is built to a very high standard and the pool is excellent, the best part for me was the roof terrace which gave a panoramic view of the surrounding jungle.

United StatesHonestly for the price we paid this stay exceeded every expectation we could have had. It's a brand new hotel so they are still working out a few things but they are fully receptive to feedback and are quick to remedy anything as they truly want ever guest to have a perfect stay.
Our favorite place we stayed in Sri Lanka! It's a perfect location away from all of the noise in a peaceful setting. It's a great location to get to Unawatuna and they even helped us arrange an affordable moped to drive around. They surprised us with many fun things such as coconuts that they cut from the trees at the villa for us and meals and snacks. They are very kind and thoughtful people that went out of their way to help us with anything we wanted. For example we needed high speed internet so they had it arranged for us to have high speed WiFI connected for us and we wanted a large water jug so they went and picked up one for us. The villas itself are almost brand new and expertly made. They take great care in making sure everything is clean, especially the pool. The location is very secure and they are very responsive to any questions. It's not only close to the beaches but it's also close to a fantastic gym called Makahiya Fitness that is only a quick 5-10 minute moped ride. At the end of our stay we needed to get back to Columbo so they arranged everything for us including taking us to the bus stop and making sure we got on the correct bus. We could not have been happier with our stay and we hope to come back again soon!

AustraliaWe turned up with a confirmed booking, the location is up lots of hills and alleys and it was dark. We couldn't find the property and no one knew where it was. Then we ran into the owner and he said the property was full and he couldn't take our booking. So we had to drive back down the hills and alleys and try to find somewhere else to stay at 8pm
Nothing, didn't get to stay
