Absolutely nothing

Patini Bungalows stole my heart. Falling asleep to the sound of waves, waking up to that sea view, and spending time in the beautiful garden felt like a dream. The ice creams were a lovely treat, but the real magic came from the warmest, kindest hosts I’ve ever met. I’ll always remember this place.

The thing we like at most is the location- directly on the beach and the amazing palm garden around the bungalows. It doesn’t matter if you have the garden view or the sea view- it’s always beautiful. The bungalows are comfortable, you also have a terrace where you can admire the view in the shadow of the palm trees. The houskeeper keep the place and the garden clean. The host Severine and her family are very friendly and helpful with tips, tuk-tuk or taxi booking. We had delicious breakfasts and traditional dinners in the nearby Cinnabar Resort. They also let us to swim in their beautiful swimming pool.

Our stay was absolutely magical. From the moment we arrived, we felt at peace, with the bungalows perfectly located by the sea, offering breathtaking views and the soothing sound of waves throughout our stay. This place truly feels like a slice of heaven on earth! The bungalows are comfortable and clean, with the sea breeze making every moment special. What truly makes Patini Bungalows stand out, though, is the warmth and hospitality of the owners. They are kind and welcoming, providing all the necessary information about the area. Their care for their guests made our stay more comfortable. The location is perfect for those looking for peace and tranquility. We honestly felt like we were in our own private paradise. We wish we could stay here forever! We can’t wait to return. Thank you so much for everything!

This place is on an absolutely beautiful beach and you walk out of your bungalow right on to it. The garden area is immaculately looked after. It was great to have a communal fridge and honesty system for soft drinks. The place next door was amazing for coffee and breakfast and there are a wealth of good restaurants in easy walking distance.

This was our first accommodation in the south of Sri Lanka and it was wonderful. A beautiful place in a quiet location, right on the beach. Clean and well equipped. There is a shared fridge with water and soft drinks, as well as a small kitchen that guests can use. The beach is practically deserted, and swimming is possible about 500 meters from Patini Bungalows. There are numerous restaurants and cafés within walking distance, and the center of Tangalle is also easily reachable on foot (about 30 minutes or 10 minutes by tuk-tuk). Severine and Daya are super kind and helpful. Thank you very much! We felt extremely comfortable and can highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful time at Patini Bungalows. The hosts are delightful and helpful. Stunning location - very quiet, right on the beach. Lots of good restaurants to choose from nearby. We had 5 nights here but could easily have stayed longer. Thank you Séverine and Daya

Severine and her husband were great hosts, we loved that we felt very comfortable here like it was a 2nd home! Helping ourselves to the coffee/tea and snacks :) always staff around to help too. The proximity to the beach couldn’t have been better- lovely sea view from the room!

We spent an amazing time in Patini Bungalows. Spacious and cozy bungalows on the sea side at a calm beach. Waves are a bit rough but you can swim a bit further on the beach. Plenty of local F&B options in a walking distance. Safe environment. Daya and Severine, warm thank you from Sergey and Ekaterina, we already miss our stay!

This one of our favourite accommodation- hosts are wonderful, clean, beach right there. used them for transport, host family were beautiful! it’s quiet, great coffee few doors down, excellent food places close and next door. would recommend fellow kiwis (nz )to stay here . wish we stayed here longer…

We loved this place. In fact we booked one night and kept extending. This is a genuine beach bungalow with the sea and sand right outside the door of the bungalow. The room was clean and comfortable. Despite the lack of aircon we were cool and able to sleep soundly at night with the sound of crashing waves in the background. 😀 There are plenty of really nice beach bars in walking distance along the beach. Or you can lay around in your private hammock or beach chairs right outside your room or along the beach front. The accommodation was located in a quiet area. The owners and staff were helpful, kind and friendly and proactive in providing information. We highly recommend.

The bathroom is a bit old/basic. There should be hot water bit, even if we asked, both days we only had cold water, I would have appreciate that staff came into the room to check and assure that all was working. Breakfast is nota available, I think would be a great upgrade if they add this possibility.

The bungalow is wide, very comfortable. There is a lot of space between the bungalow and garden is amazing as is the view of the sea. The night is very quiet and you cam sleep hearing the sound of the ocean.
