How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The location is great! You can start your hike to Adams peak right from there. The room was small and simple but good for the price. If you are looking for an easy and budget friendly room, go for it.

It was a perfect place and location to climb Adams Peak at night (in time for sunrise I started at 2am and was at the top at 4:50am). The bed was comfortable, it was clean enough and there was warm water for a nice shower before the climb (it‘s cold in the am). It was good value for money and for one night I have no complaints.

We stayed just for one night, so we haven't had any issues.
First of all, the location is near the bus station and at the beginning of the trail to Adam's peak. It was clean, we had towels, soap, toilet paper and hot water. What else would you want more? :)) We went in November and it was very quiet in the night but I guess when the season starts it may be more noisy. We went the only guests from what what we saw.

It's basic, not bad. Just know that it is what it is
A basic hotel of south Asian variety. Great value for money, hot water, mosquito net. Drying rack. The staff was kind and took in my clothes when it started raining. Close to Sri Pada/Adams peak start. Would recommend

There is mention on the site that there is free parking, but they don't have it. The owner informed me after we arrived there are no parking slots available and I have to use public parking. Only that was the issue
It was a very clean room with a comfortable bed, and a very friendly owner.

Pillow a little to hard!
Clean, simple room with large confortable bed. Hot water. Owner helpful and kind. My room was situated on main road, so unavoidable a little noise from the continuing flow of people going on the peak: it didn't bother me. Five minutes walk from bus stall and couple more from the beginning of Adam's peak stairs. Stores and restaurants in nearby.

Wifi is not in the whole guest house and not the best connection but it was okay.
Good stay and start for the Sri pada hike. At first the owner didn't seem to be too friendly but turned out to be super helpful and nice, he made sure that I made it to my bus back to Hatton which leaves just in front of the building. Make sure you go to eat this really authentic Sri Lankan restaurant which is just across the street and I just loved the old lady who keeps it.

Pillows were a little hard and maybe an extra duvet as it does get a little chilly up in the mountains
Welcoming host, very helpful with all we needed to know about Adams Peak. Perfect location and best price in the town. Comfortable sleep for that 2am start

only one electrical outlet- you need to choose between the phone or the fan no window to a fresh air, but there some holes for air and small window to the hallway

The people around were incredibly friendly and kind. Especially in front of the guest house, there's a restaurant called Nisantha Hotel—they were super friendly and welcoming. I arrived there around midnight when all the other restaurants were closed. Even though they didn’t have any food left, they didn’t let me go hungry. With true Sri Lankan hospitality, they shared their own food with me. I was truly touched by their kindness. Highly recommended if you're looking for a peaceful stay with warmhearted people!
Nice and Comfortable Stay I had a very nice stay—comfortable bed and clean room. Definitely great value for money! Actually, I visited during the off-season, so the place was quiet and peaceful. Everything I needed was available. Highly recommended!
