Lot of flies in our room. No sun lounges by the pool. No lift and couldn’t find anyone to help with our luggage. Location wasn’t great. You needed to get a tuk-tuk into town.

The rooms are huge but the noise isolation and light isolation is pathetic, you can have fun if you with friends, very limited food options, not so tasty and expensive too.

The place is not really clean. Everywhere some paint-left-overs, the pool was not clean and missing steps to get in or out. Like it is now... this is a great hostel! we enjoyed our time But with some management and investments, this could be paradise. For example... when we arrived ( at the previously informed time) the room (suite) was way above 40 degrees celsius inside. Even with the two airco's on, we had to sleep the first night at above 36 degrees. Some easy pre-thinking could have prevented this. When we left we tried to ask for assistance to help with the luggage from the (top) floor to the car After some ' yes... yes, we come', our driver helped us to carry the bags ourselves. For a hostel no problem... not for a suite at a resort

We booked the (Very large) suite on the top floor. Very large double room with seperate bathroom. Good bed, airco in every room, very nice view of the beach from the spacious balcony Very friendly people, directly at the beach with all facilities to enjoy snorkeling, scuba dive, .. and a large pool. The food (Breakast) was very good and staff was friendly Price was correct. Like it is now... this is a great hostel! we enjoyed our time

I was surprised at the lack of maintenance at the pool, the pool ladders seemed to be broken with no rungs. Maybe the hotel is experiencing quiet times.

I chose this hotel for its closeness to the beach. I had been here before six years ago. The hotel was surprisingly quiet, probably due to its distance from the main town but that was easily accessible by bus and tuk tuk. The best thing is the beach and the fact that you can swim with the turtles that seem to like the calmer waters here. It is definitely better swimming here than on the main Mirissa beach with its rolling waves

the hotel is tired and needs a good facelift! our room desperately needed a coat of paint! need tuk tuk or bike to get into Mirissa beach (although we realised it prior to booking!)

large comfy room! with great fridge, tv, hairdryer etc! beach front and a lovely big pool! The staff are lovely and so very helpful (although you do have to ask twice for things - I think that’s a language issue and the staff don’t like to say no!!) Great value for money!

Although the establishment was correct and met the reservation requirements, we were disappointed with the reception staff. At first we had a small problem and at no time did they make a minimum effort to solve it. Furthermore, one day before leaving, we wanted to contact them to explain that we had to leave the hotel very early because we had an excursion, but there was no one at the reception and they did not answer our written messages either. Something similar happened this morning, since when we left we wanted to check out and we couldn't because there was no one to assist us. So after a long day we had to take a taxi just to deliver the keys. I think there was a lack of foundation.

I didn't like anything except for the views

They have built elevated bathtubs with no door mats or separators or curtain and I slipped in the floor and got a head injury and had to get 5 stitches . There was absolutely no one in the reception and even in the morning no one was willing to help and instead was asking some 50$ for a doctor's visit . Worst experience ever

Filthy hole. Stinky pillows, unwashed tablecloths, dogs wandering around kitchen and dining room. 30 minute wait for scrambled egg.no batteries for safe so was unusable, staff said they would get some tomorrow!!!!. No main light in bathroom. Staff uncaring when we left after 1 night when we had booked 3. The photo is of the spare mattresses , they left the door open to the store, but anyway they could be seen and smelled from the stairway.Yuk!!!!!

Well, one area of improvement that I would wish to suggest is to have a wider range of food options and to make certain that most of the items on the menu are available on any given day. This is not a criticism, just a suggestion which would ensure guest satisfaction. Apart from that, a lot of love for Paradise Beach Resort!

This is an excellent value-for-money establishment. What WOWED us immediately upon arrival was how close the beach and the sea was to us! Literally toe-touching distance! We spent two days here and fully enjoyed the sea, the sand and all the Southern Comforts offered to us. Miss Kumari's cooking is beyond excellence and Miss Kavindya and Mr. Nuwan are extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Good Job, Guys! We will be revisiting this lovely hotel in the near future. That's a promise.

They ask to pay at the check-in to see the reason swimming pool is fill with Sea water. We couldn't enjoy the pool at all. My son is only 9month and I wanted him to have first pool experience but that was disappointing. He didn't enjoy that salty water.
