The cabanas were hot and dark. We moved after the first night. The villas need roofing & plumbing renovations.

The breakfast was delicious. Seasonal fruit, curd, juice, eggs, toast & coffee daily. Poolside bar service and restaurant options for eating was good. Location was awesome - on Goyambokka beach. Staff were friendly.

The toilets need renovation and better cleaning. The toilet brush was dirty and should be replaced. The bed nets were ineffective—we had mosquito bites despite the nets being “repaired.” Breakfast was repetitive.

The location was perfect and staff were very friendly and cooperative.

Too expensive. If wanted AC needed to pay A LOT more. Breakfast was a lot of food but the taste and quality was poor (papaya juice was extremely watery), fruits weren’t as fresh

Jungle experience- got to see several animals close up (peacock, a kind of lizard, monkeys), even better than the safari trip in Yala! Can see and hear the ocean from my door. Great for couples. Swimming pool is small but very clean.

The villas are nicely designed and we had a great time. The only bad things i could mention is the cleaning in bathrooms .. a lot of mold on the sink, is a pity not to clean better. And the laundry service - we gave them some clothes and all the white were delivered dark grey! The breakfast is ok but is every day the same- no buffet- fruits, omelette or fried eggs - just as an info, for us was ok. The place is a great botanical garden with beautiful peacocks everywhere. And another thing - there are 2 restaurants -the one from the cabanas and the one from the villas! Please do not make the mistake to eat or take an All inclusive buffet at the cabanas restaurant! we ate there only on time - a la carte- and the food is horrible! please, please, eat at the pool restaurant!

I will have a long review but is very important! My recommendation is to book the villas. The villas and the cabanas are 2 different locations separated by a green yard , unified in one name, with separate owners. The villas are more updated and the restaurant / pool area is nice, the food is good and tasty, we had a great time with the kids at the pool! Please be aware that the property has a road to the beach, but they not own the beach space - so you will find only local food from the villagers.

I understand that cabanas are open to the elements and there are all kinds of insects inside - it was not an issue for us. However, cleanliness could be improved. There was a thick layer of dust on every surface. Loud barking of local dogs started around 10 pm every night and went on until the morning. Maybe bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper... When rain lasted for several hours, our roof started to leak...

With secluded cabanas in lush tropical garden, location was absolutely awesome. Great Goyambokka beach nearby and stunning Silent beach within a short walk. While default breakfast was mediocre, Sri Lankan option was delicious. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant only once, but it was superb and for a reasonable price. Our cabana had lots of storage space for clothes and many rails/hooks for hanging things to dry (for some reason you don't find this things in every hotel). Staff was friendly and helpful.

The beaches were Fantastic. I lived direct to Gyambocca beach and Silent beach was just a short walk away or a few minutes with a Tuk Tuk. However I would not book the Cabanas again since AC is missing. Two fans are not able to maintain a comfortable clima so the sleep will not be good. Choose the Villas instead which are supplied with AC. The restaurant in the Villa area is also much better. The Cabana restaurant was more like a cantin with mediocre cooked lunch and dinner dishes. The breakfast however was good and varied.

Our cabana was more basic than I expectred: hard beds, no fridge, cramped for three people. 5he German lady owner could be more friendly.

Location. Sri Lankan breakfast was good. Table tennis table, chess and darts (board was fine but better darts are needed)

The welcome was more bureaucratic than welcoming. The owner, who was present, was totally uninterested in the guests.

Close to a beautiful beach, with lovely cafes on the beach. Rustic cabanas work well in good weather. The whole stay worked well for us as we enjoy camping. Very relaxing. The breakfasts were delicious and staff very accommodating of our dietary requirements.

The cabanas are all open. The resort is very lush and green with all kinds of bugs wondering around...and IN the room. The beds have a mosquito net but it has holes. I had all kinds of flying stuff inside my mosquito net at night. Very overpriced for what was offered. There is absolutely no attention to detail. Plastic botltes of water, plastic cups to drink from. So a 7 cos of the location and cos I dont want to bring down their overall score.

The reception staff is friendly. The grounds are well kept. The location is great.

There isn’t anything I didn’t like about the property- the barking dogs during the night is a little annoying but nothing that earplugs doesn’t fix

This is a much underrated jewel. The cabanas are rustic and comfy. Access to an idyllic beach with local beach restaurants. The cabanas are ideal in the setting with access to a pool ( if you need one with the ocean on your doorstep)

We had a tripple room and the single bed was squeeking so bad that we woke up every time the person in it turned around. Also doing laundry is expensive (we paid 30€ for one bag).

Nicely maintained, beautiful vegetation, close to the beach. Food was ok.

My friend got a food poisoning from the Pool restaurant. We addressed this to staff two times, did not get even an apology. Level of food in both restaurant were mediocre level and would recommed to eat somewhere else.

Nice and clean room. Spacious and the bathroom was nice. Location was perfect and you could go to the beach directly. Nice Pool area and laundry service was excellent.

A cabana is a wooden shack with plank walls, which were not tightly fitted to the ceiling. This allowed all kinds of insects to get inside easily, and I was worried about the monkeys inviting themselves into the cabana (they did not). Due to the proximity to the ocean, everything in the cabana was damp, from bed linen to mold growing on a dish mat. While the former is inevitable, the latter needs to be monitored and taken care of regularly. Remote communication with the hotel by email or phone could also be better.

My cabana had a beachfront view, allowing me to wake up to the sound of waves and the garden view with glimpses of the ocean. A one-minute walk, and I was already at the beach, which was wonderful in any weather. The hotel’s staff was really helpful with storing the luggage after the checkout and organizing the transfer to the airport.

The cabanas were a little dark inside and the mosquitoes were a bit of a problem as there were open windows. The bed was covered by a mosquito net though so that was good.

Great location very close to the beach. The cabanas are set within a beautiful, tropical garden and there is plenty of space between cabanas so great privacy.

mix feelings, some good things, some not

First of all, i booked double room with separated beds. We got the room with one bed, imedietly i discovered it I came back to the office and tried to fix it. I showed printed reservation where it was written "separated beds", but the person with who i spoke to, said he does not see that in theirs system so I must have made reservation without pointing bed types and there is no room avaliable with separated beds.. after discution they offered new room with 2 beds but from next day. Finally we didn't change the room, because we didn't want to loose the day packing, waiting for the cleaning and new room (it will be avaliable at 2 or 3 pm and we wanted to go for a whole day trip). There was no discount for that or even not a free coffee as "appologise". I understand there can be a mistake in the system, but the whole point is to deal with that in a propper way. Second thing - it was clean, i must say that, but drain in the shower has so big wholes that cockroaches were visiting. The staff was helpful with getting rid of them, finaly we put there a dumpster to cover the holes. Third, next to our room are masive wooden door/gate which were closing and opening every day. It will be all fine, but they were opening the door around 7 in the morning and it was so loud, made so much noise i was waking up. There is one more thing, maybe nth special, but in the reception when we came the owner was sitting at his desk. The way he was sitting, looking.. doing nothing actully, but it made me uncomfortable and you could feel veird vibe in the room because of him.

Very mix feelings about that place. The area is nice, it is very close to the ocean, Goyambokka Beach is the best! we visited Silent Beach, Dickwella Beach and Hiriketiya Beach, and from all of them Goyambokka we enjoyed the most. There was also a swimming pool with nice restaurant next to where we were eating breakfast (5 options to choose, the same every day). Room was clean. There was water and tea. Internet WIFI was working fine.
