Little bit of a walk from the Railway station. Anyone looking to go from or to the railway station, take the short cut through the small strip mall.

Was good for a one night stay. The owner lady promptly replied to messages.

Coming from a NZ winter A/C would have been nice, but fan was sufficient never the less.

Sam who owns the guest house is an absolute legend, nice and close the main train station. Even though I probably shown up on the busiest day in the last 10 years due to Buddha's tooth relic being on display Sam went out of his way with restaurant recommendations which were very helpful.

The property location was very convenient . Near to the train station, buses and restaurants. Also, just a 10 min walk to the center of the city . Room was comfortable, nothing fancy but had everything I needed, a nice bed and a bathroom. At the end of the day I spent most of the time outside. The owner is very kind and provided advice about what to do or where to go . I had a nice night and was able to sleep peacefully.

Very good location. Practically in the town center, but in a side street, so it is nice and very quiet. The entrance to the building from the street is closed, so it is also very safe. Modernly furnished apartment and comfortable bathroom with hot water in the shower. Access to a shared kitchen. Clean. Bedding also clean. 10 mins walking to Kandy train station, about 15 minutes to Tooth Temple, modern shopping center also at a similar distance.

Nice and quite place. Usually it’s loud in Kandy, but this place is peaceful. The owner is super friendly. Bathroom is modern.

We had a great stay. Room is spacious, beds comfy. Hot water takes a while to boil, but that was fine for us. Wifi is so and so. The owner Nishadh is kind and helpfull. The location is great with walking distance to downtown. It is located in a quiet side street.

I was very pleased with my stay at Orchard Home and found it to be a very convenient base for my visit to Kandy. The property is well located, with easy access to the city centre, train station and bus station, all of which can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes on foot. The room was clean and well equipped and the bathroom had a very pleasant warm shower. I found the bed to be comfortable and despite the hot spell of sunny weather, I slept well each night with the ceiling fan running (I kept the windows open during the day). The host, Sam, was very friendly, informative and accommodating and I found it straight forward to make all the necessary arrangements with him. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very centrally placed, walking distance of Kandy railway station and the city centre and its major sites. The room and facilities matched our expectations. Nishadh was very helpful in highlighting the local sights and recommending local eating places. Pleasant stay.

The WiFi was sometimes down, which has been my experience throughout Sri Lanka! A few cheeky ants began to gather, but Nishadh was very quick to provide the solution.

Nishadh and his wife are a lovely couple who sent me lots of useful information about Kandy and helped with a smooth check in and check out. They have converted their family home into comfortable rooms, with a shared kitchen and lounge area, which I found very useful being on a long trip. The room was simple, clean and comfortable with a great rainfall shower and hot water. There was no A/C but the fan was enough for a very pleasant sleep. It's a great location, you can walk from the railway station (don't follow google maps, there is a shortcut across the railway tracks and through a small shopping mall) and an easy walk to the centre of town/the lake. Enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it to anyone.

Slightly noisy outside but didn’t stop us sleeping

Hosts were very kind and welcoming, even sending a document with some great info on what to do in Kandy and gave us amazing restaurant recommendations. Room was nice and comfortable and the property felt very safe. Great location for the train and bus station. I would certainly recommend this stay as great value for money.

- the bed wasn’t particularly comfortable - there was no comfortable seating in the room or common area - the rooms are on the ground floor of a multistory house, and can get very loud when there are people in the upstairs floor. (The people are not being loud; the house is just old.)
