The location was lovely, a bit outside the city, up in the mountains. The view was spectacular, where you could enjoy nice fresh breakfast made by the staff. Laka, our host was very nice and friendly and didn’t hesitate to drive us anywhere, he also made sure, that we got a car to our next destination. Big up Sri Lanka !

A minor thing was a few bugs in the bathroom, but we weren’t too bothered.

Amazing view!! a lovely breakfast and fantastic hosts and the best hot shower during our trip. We had car troubles and they rushed to help us fix it. In addition our daughter forgot her ipad and they made a lot of effort to find a way to return it.

The young man who works there is amazing can’t speak of him any higher, provided lifts, cooked meals he could do it all. The views and terrace are spectacular.

The owner had said they would pick me up from train station but failed to answer my calls/ messages when train arrived. Ended up being harassed by tuk tuk drivers at the train station as I booked an uber and didn’t realise there is a local agenda from the tuk tuk drivers from doing so.

We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. It was a wonderful place with an amazing view. We wished we had more time, but we already had other plans. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly; he arranged our scooter rental and even picked us up from Ella train station. The free breakfast came with a beautiful mountain view, and if you’re lucky, you might even spot some monkeys! The room was clean and lovely. We’d definitely stay here again if we return to Ella.

The owner guy was very friendly. They allowed us to keep the luggages for an early check as we arrived the city earlrier than we expected. We booked the tuk tuk with the same owner guy, who took us to all the destinations we asked for, that too from early morning 5am. He charged around 5000lkr which is very reasonable compared to the other drivers. On the way, he explained about all the places. The stay was super comfy. He carried our luggages all the way from the place where the tuk tuk were dropped. Our luggages were very heavy. but he was really helpful. SDuring night, we were very tired and at the same time we were hungry, but coulndt go out. When we explained this to them, he went to the city and got the food for us. As no food apps work on that region. Highly recommend this place for the super stay surrounded by a lot of humanity towards the people.

The host arranged a free tuk-tuk pickup from the train station to the rooms, and the driver was always available for anything we needed. They even organized transport to other distant places in Sri Lanka at a good price. The views are spectacular, and the grandma who prepares breakfast is amazing. 100% recommended! I suggest staying at least two nights. Best regards from Barcelona!

Very nice views from the balcony, good breakfast, it's quite far outside of the main town but the hosts were very accommodating with dropping us into the town/collecting us at a very reasonable price

There were a lot of insects in the bathroom but this is to be expected in this location. They had an insect net around the bed

The view from balcony is amazing.

It's far from main town. There is only two rooms very closed to each other. So if you want to listen music with normal volume its gonna bother other guests.

The breakfast was very nice and the view were gorgeous.

Getting to the property was very difficult, lots of steep slippery steps and I wouldn’t have booked if I’d known that as I’m pregnant. Room had a ball smell of damp also.

The view was without doubt the best we’ve had! Chamee and his brother were such nice people! They definitely made our time there very special and easy. They always drove us to the city and even did long trips. Their family is very special and the way they treat others is very kind. We felt so welcomed ❤️

The shower was a bit tricky.

A wonderful place! A charming retreat located on the outskirts of town, offering breathtaking mountain views and a magical sunrise. The hosts were incredibly warm and helpful, arranging transportation to local attractions and even providing a tuk-tuk to town. The meals were absolutely delicious, the views were stunning, and everything was impeccably clean. This place and its people truly enchanted us—thank you!

This was our best homestay during our two week trip in Sri Lanka! Chamika, the owner, is incredibly friendly and helpful providing recommendations and being available at all time! The views from the balcony are breathtaking (you can even see little Adam’s peek) and breakfast was delicious! Also, the whole family was very kind and all Tuk Tuk rides to the sights etc were organized for us (the family has several Tuk Tuks, good price). Thank you Chamika and family for this incredible experience!

The view really is the highlight of this place - the sunrise over the mountains is beautiful. The staff are super friendly and helpful, breakfast was great! We would definitely come back here:)

Not an issue because the amazing staff helped us but this place isn’t really suitable for suitcases - backpacks are much better:)

Lovely and helpful staff. Speaks very good english. They also transfer us everywhere and arrange tours. Everything has make so easy for us! Place was incredible. View from the balcony just front of little Adam's peak. Just like wow. It was a plast to just chill at balcony, watching views and the monkeys who was jumping around from trees to trees. Breakfast was delicious and one of the best what we had at our 3weeks holiday at Sri Lanka. And it changed everyday. Last day we have early morning heading to Ella. And they packed breakfast in take away boxes with us. Btw be aware of monkeys also, one of them stole our banana when we had our breakfast at balcony. Room was clean, bed was comfy and have mosquito net. No A/C but fan. This place was also so quiet. We maybe sleep our best nights in here. Toilet was big, with lot of ants. (It didint bother us, but there were a lot of them.) Also water pressure wasn't good. Shower okay but in tap no. Warm water also, just needed to wait a while for that. Toilet floor gets very slippery when you have had shower. I slip and fall one time. Luckily i was ok after that. But be careful with the wet floor. Balcony have table and chairs. Those chairs were ok but maybe couple of more chilling chairs would be awesome. So you can just be there, enjoying views and reading book etc more comfortable. There is only 2 rooms. This place was tricky to find. Its not near the road that leads there. When you see sign 'On Rock Home' and right green house with yard. You're there. After that you must do a little hike to get your room. First there is good stairs, but last stairs that leads to your room is very uneven and hard to walk 'cause those are dip down. So if you have any fysical limitations this is not place for you. And when it rains those stairs gets also very slippery and hard to walk up and down. Speacially in the dark even there was some lights put on.

One of my favourite stays in Sri Lanka. The rooms are basic but comfortable, and the view of Adam’s Peak and surrounding wildlife was stunning. Ravindu was a brilliant host - so kind, accommodating and friendly. We are so grateful for all his help during our stay.

There are quite a lot of bugs, especially in the bathroom, but this is to be expected when you are up in the mountains. It didn’t bother us too much. The road to the guest house is also pretty steep, narrow and bumpy.

The area is beautifully green, surrounded by palm and banana trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere with no traffic noise to disturb your rest. The breakfast is delicious, and the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Another advantage is the affordability of tuk-tuk fares for the distance.

On the downside, the rooms and bathrooms could be cleaner, with stale, humid air and occasional visits from insects and small animals. At night, monkeys jumping on the roof can be quite noisy, which might disrupt sleep.

The property is exactly as photographed. The host was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast every morning was such a special part of our stay. Would recommend highly!

It is quite far from the main town so getting transport can be difficult (especially in the rain or of an evening)

Amazing stunning view over little Adam’s peak next to Ella rock. Hot water in the shower.

The room was very basic and a little damp, the air not fresh in the room.
