The location of this homestay is perfect: you can see Sigiriya Rock directly from the garden, and the small city center is just a 10-minute walk away. Nice View Lodge surprised us in the best way possible - honestly, it’s an exceptional guesthouse that feels more like a hidden gem. We were amazed at the price compared to what you get. The breakfast was hands down the best we had in Sri Lanka, and we absolutely loved it. The room was stunning, clean, and comfortable, and the location couldn’t be better for walking to Lion’s Rock. The staff went above and beyond, organising an outstanding jeep safari and a taxi for us afterward, all excellent value and perfectly arranged. On balance, this place was the biggest surprise of our trip, and it quickly became our favourite stay in Sri Lanka. We’d love to come back here again.

The location was good and at the moment you step in you feel like in a botanical garden. Many beautiful plants, flowers, birds, parrots, monkeys, squirrels, it is like living inside the nature and we loved it. The room was extremely comfy and clean, the owner was attentively cared for all our needs. We also arranged transfer and Tuktuk with them on fair prices. The breakfast was delicious and had many variaties.

A nice clean guesthouse with a very convenient location. Breakfast consisted of different Sri Lankan dishes and fruits, was tasty and hearty. The gesthouse is convenient for getting to Sigiriya and Pidurangala, it is great for a few nights stay and sightseeing in the area.

Wonderful stay – the rooms are very clean and well-maintained. Great location close to the town center, with a stunning view of Lion Rock. The owner is extremely helpful, offering excellent, varied breakfasts and assisting with organizing tours. He provides great advice on which safari to choose based on where animals are most active – all at a very good price. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Due to the high temperatures and also the fact that there are not much dining options just around the corner: a small fridge would have been great for food you are bringing

The Host is lovely and welcomed us warmly! The view on Lions Rock is stunning! The Garden is so charming and our 2 years old son loved Watching all the birds, turtles and just playing in this Green Paradise! The room and bathroom was super clean and exactly like shown on the pictures.

Everything was great if I had to say something it would be our pillows where too firm and big for us but other people may like firm big pillows .. personal choice

For the money you pay it is excellent There was four of us in the room, two adults and two teenagers. We stayed two nights. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit and egg with Sri Lankan sides . Easy to find, the host can order tuk tuks for u or u can pick them up at the end of the road which is a 10-15 min walk
