There was nothing that we didn’t like about this venue. Great place to stay if wanting to do a Yala safari. Well worth the stay!

The owner was fantastic, he personally took us out for a mini safari to the nearby river/swamp which had beautiful views and although we didn’t manage to see any crocs that time we saw lots of beautiful wildlife. Our actual safari to the national park was fantastic also. The room was comfy and clean.

The staff were super friendly and helpful! Our room was spotless and really lovely, as was the whole house, its plants and peaciful surroundings—we loved it! You can even order lunch from a local restaurant at a good price. Lots of shops etc. nearby. We went on a full-day safari for $78 per person and on the way back in the late afternoon we get to be lucky and saw a leopard! So do book a full day safari …They also arranged a private ride to our next stop in Arugam.for 40USD with a experienced driver.Highly reccomend to stay overnight if you do whole day safari since there are elephans on the road at night and that could be sometimes dangerous. What an unforgettable experience!

The hospitality at Nehansa was amazing. The staff pick you up and drop you off at the bus station, and ensure you get on the proper bus when leaving town. I booked the Yala half day safari through Nehansa, and it went smoothly. They even provided binoculars for the tour, which was something other safari participants didn’t have. The room was perfect, and the food was delicious.

Beautiful garden - lots of plants and flowers Room was super clean, plenty of room Bed was big and very comfortable with mozzie net around Staff were really nice and friendly and helpful We got to feed a group of deer that come into the back garden and also do a night safari to see local birds, crocodiles and bats. The only thing was due to the location and our arrival and departure we didn't get the chance to go to Tissamaharama, but that has little to do with the hotel itself.

This was our last stop on our Sri Lanka tour and we can safely say that it was the best. Not only our the staff very helpful and communicative, the room was spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed and the gardens are so beautiful. We were welcomed with a fresh king coconut, which was a nice touch and very appreciated after a full day. They showed us the feeding of the wild deer at the back of the property and took us on a free tour of the nearby lakes on the evening of our arrival to see birds, crocodiles, buffalo and bats. They arranged a full day safari for us which was fantastic, and also arranged our transport for the day of our departure back to Negombo. All the while they were ensuring that we happy with everything, even checking that we had arrived safely at our next location. We had dinner, which despite arriving late, they had no problems with, they even provided tea and cake at 4am when we left for the safari tour, which was a nice surprise and the breakfast on the day of the checkout was varied, copious and kept us going for the entire day.

Everything! We had kind of late check in but they waited for us and welcomed us with coconut and cookies :) Our room had everything needed, it was so clean, spacious and cooled with AC. Close to the main road for buses to / from the south coast. Nice clean rooms, good size. Very helpful staff, even dropped us off at the bus station & got our bags on for us! Good WiFi.

Great place. Exceptional host. Took me for a tour in the evening to see bats, birds, and crokodiles on the house. The safari in the morning was perfect. He took me to the bus and wouldn't leave till I borded it. Easy communication via whattsapp. Look no further, book here.

LOVED our stay here - everyone was really kind and helpful. We ate lunch and dinner here which was very convenient and delicious. They showed us deer in their garden and Dilum took us on a “evening safari” around the lake to see the crocs, bats and birds! We also organised our safari through them and inbound/onward car - both were great. Highly recommend if going to Yala 😊

I don’t know why their deers are afraid of people while we feeding them. The shower head is leaking a little water.

We book the safari from the hotel, they offer very good service, offer us breakfast at 4:15, and give us telescope. Everything was so convenient if you book Safarifrom them, and they give us a good price, we saw so many beautiful animals. The hotel staff make sure whether everything is allright.

Was great value for its intended purpose which was a one night stay before Yala Safari. We booked the safari through Nehansa, and thoroughly enjoyed. Respectfully driver and took care of us in providing food and water. We even saw a leopard!! Air con room was great and they took us on a free evening tour of the lake to see bats, birds and crocodiles. Would recommend for anyone looking for a short stopover for safari tour.

The people is vey nice! They arranged us all the transports from and to Tissamahara. In addition, we had a safari that was picking us at 4:30 and they woke up to prepare us a small breakfast. We had dinner there and food was really tasty!

Had an awesome experience with Nehansa Resort and Safari. The staff is very welcoming and maintains a high quality service throughout your stay. Anything you need, feel free to ask them. When I arrived, I was invited on a free special tour to see crocodiles, birds, bats,.. at the nearby lakes. I took a safari tour with them, only the best recommendation as well. Everything was well-arranged and the safari was just amazing! The room itself was very clean, it had AC and all other things needed. Breakfast was exceptional as well! Definitely recommend staying here if you wanna visit Yala National Park or just if you are nearby and need an exceptional price-quality place to stay!

Hidden gem which for the cost provided amazing value for money! The people who run it really look after you, they are courteous, informative and very helpful. The feeding of the deer family and free dusk safari around the lake were unexpected and very special extras. The air con was excellent as was the room overall, cleanliness and overall ambience! We had unforgettable experience with nehansa resort crew. When we arrived, they offered us free tour to nearby lake to see alligators and huge colony of bats. Next morning we went to private safari which we prebooked at resort. The safari was amazing and we had probably the best driver ever! We managed to see leopards twice, and second one was spotted by our driver. Last say we booked taxi ride to mirissa with resort owner that was great, cheap and super comfortable in Toyota prius. Anyway, we LOVED every second of our stay!

We had our best time at Nehansa Resort, The room was very clean and nice, the staff was very kind and always watching how they could do the best for us. We got a free lake safari before the sunset and they organised everything for our full day safari for the next day. I could not recommend this resorr enough! If you want to go for a Safari at Yala stay here, you will get the best service and everything you can imagine.

The shower was not the best. But there was warm water just the water pressure was not good.

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and managed everything for us ( Safari, dinner, pick-up) and looked after us all the time. The room was clean and comfy. Breakfast and dinner options were great, try the sri lankan special dinner/rice and curry.
