Cozy huts in a beautiful location. 2 minute walk to the beach. Very friendly hosts.

This is an exceptional offering for the price. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. Careful attention had been paid to sealing gaps in doors and windows, effectively keeping insects out—an issue I’ve encountered at other hotels. Although the location is remote, it’s easily accessible via tuk tuk, and PickMe provides a convenient ride into town. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet throughout the day, making it a relaxing place to stay. The setting is immersed in nature and feels tranquil and authentic.

Mornings can be quite noisy, with loud animals and—in my case—children playing very near the room. Earplugs helped mitigate this. The shower is unheated. While this may be welcome in hot weather, it could be less comfortable in cooler months. The water had a slightly slick or unusual texture, potentially due to being rainwater or only partially filtered. While fine for washing, it may not feel entirely clean. The laundry service was acceptable for towels and sheets, though the linens had a faint musty smell. The pillow had a strong and unpleasant odour (similar to vomit), which I was only able to resolve by purchasing a new pillowcase locally.

I like how peaceful it was. The staff was very nice. Breakfast was good. Beach is very near.

A little distant from the city.

The property is unique. The huts are completely comfortable with great AC. The garden is loved & a pleasant place to relax-read, or have a beer! The owner, Mrs. Brenda, is a wonderful host & also provides lovely home cooked meals. She also provides solid local knowledge on what to do. She assisted us to arrange our whale & dolphin watching boat.

It didn’t bother us however some people may be put off that this property is 3km out of town & accessible by a dirt road. Don’t be put off by this. This property is a good quality place to stay. Mrs. Brenda will easily organise a tuk tuk when you need it.

No hot water and sometimes there are flies and insects in the room, however, this is nature 🤣

I loved the place and the people - Brenda and her brother. But it was quite expensive - the most expensive place we stayed at in Lanka and very similar to much cheaper places. The beach is beautiful too.

The owners are really kind. The garden is beautiful and the location is nice and quiet. The cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. When you come by your own transport, everything is close by. The food was amazing.

The shower is nice, you can choose between a normal shower or a coconut shower, but the water is not warm

Excellent as I expected because I stayed there last year.So peaceful my days on the beach were tremendous, almost the whole beach to myself,only a few locals every now and then.Brenda makes the stay by providing anything and everything your heart desires.If you want a peaceful relaxing simple natural place to stay slightly outside of Trincomalee this is it. Clean beautiful room, lovely garden and lovely people

Could not find anything to complain about.If you want luxury then maybe look elsewhere this place is nature pure.

Once greeted by the ever smiling Brenda it’s only chill and beach vibes, snorkelling, reading in the hammock and fresh caught fish suppers! Our children loved the animals and their cool room. Beautiful. Why oh why did we not stay longer!!

Staff was extremely friendly and flexible on arrival/departure, I really felt welcome when they organized a ceremony for new year. It was nice also to share with other guests. They can also arrange some activities for you, and you can do snorkeling starting from the beach 3 miin away if you have your equipment

You really need a transportation mean, but hopefully I could rent a bicycle fromthem and travel easily (well, it cost some sweat) to Trinco or Nilavelli)

From a friendly welcome to a nice farewell, we had a nice time at the hotel. We loved the Environment-friendly concept of the nature hut hotel.

The concept and the design of the place is amazing - you stay rather far from the town (but PickMe works well, so there's no transportation issues). The beach is just 3 mins away and the host is very friendly and supportive and she cooks great and diverse breakfasts. The only thing is that natural materials that are used (including mattress) get wet in this climate and have moldy smell. It could be an issue for those who are sensitive or allergic, but in general, the stay was great.

I loved the design and decor, very close to nature around it. The hosts are great. Very well informed and accommodating. They were able to prepare packed breakfast for me during my stay as I was leaving the property very early. The animals are also very docile and friendly. I also walked away with a bunch of plant cuttings and a recipe for deviled calamari!

It is a bit out of the way from the city so difficult to reach without a personal vehicle. You can’t really step out and walk to a restaurant for dinner. And the last 120-150 meters are a dirt road. I went in the dry season so I don’t know how it’s like during the monsoons.

Comfortable bed in a clean room at affordable price. We stayed in March and it was lovely and quiet. Lovely peaceful gardens to relax in providing shade on a sunny day. Beach is a stones throw away and very safe for swimming. Exceptional food, huge portions, provided by the lovely friendly host, Brenda. Recommend a stay here.

We liked everything

Lovely huts in wonderful garden, full of chairs and hammocks to relax in. Each hut has its own little verandah. The huts are all individually beautifully and very creatively decorated, an unique experience! Owner Brenda does everything to make you feel at home, cooks delicious meals and speaks very well english. The beach is a stone throw away. It is a lagoon with (very) shallow water so safe for swimming, even for small children. Highly recommended!

There were no musquito nets but at least in our hut there was a rope where we could hang up our own net

Love location, very quiet area, surrounded by nature and local hamlets.The decoration of the space and garden with plenty options to hang around. I liked the welcoming staff and fulfilment of all my needs, rack for clothes, moskito net, extra pillow etc. Food is great and Brenda is ready to go the extra mile for your needs. I defenitively will recommend it to my friends and provably will return one day.

Just some netting over the Huts windows would be nice, so you can let air and natural light inside the room without moskitos. But it didn't bother me much.
