The approach road to the stay was a bit narrow and steep.

The family were so accommodating and were very helpful to share all the tours, local food, cheaper options for my trip. I’m a female solo traveller and I felt right at home here. The whole family made me feel very safe and Karunarathna waited for me at every stop of our tour. This place is very peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. The room is very clean, the bed comfy, the option of AC or Fan in the room. The whole family really go above and beyond for their guests and I’m so grateful for them. They are genuinely good people and want their guests to enjoy Kandy! Thank you guys for having me! ❤️

We had a great time staying at Mountain View. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the highlight is definitely the stunning view of the mountains. Although the guesthouse is located uphill and requires transport to get to and from the city, the owner kindly provided tuk-tuk rides at a fair price. The peaceful location makes you feel like you're far from the city, which adds to the charm. A perfect place to relax and enjoy nature!

Food is a little bit expensive not only in Kandy but also every place in Sri Lanka. But it is ok...

I suggest everyone to stay here once if you are planning to stay in Kandi.... The owner is so kind that I can't explain. You can explore the entire Kandy under the guide of this owner with a minimum budget.

Our stay at Mountain View Guest House was truly a dream come true, a perfect 10/10 in every way! We came here for our honeymoon, and from the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The room was clean, cozy, and beautifully arranged, with a breathtaking view of the mountains that we could enjoy right from our window. We absolutely fell in love with the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. It was the perfect place to relax and create unforgettable memories together. But what made our experience truly special was the owner, Kanu. He is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and exciting as possible. Whether it was offering us rides in his tuktuk to explore the area, stopping at beautiful spots for us to take photos, or simply checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, Kanu was always there with a big smile and a warm heart. His son was just as lovely and helpful, making us feel like part of their family. The hospitality, the stunning views, the peaceful surroundings, and the love and care we received made this trip one we will cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. Everything about Mountain View was mesmerising, peaceful, and perfect. Amazing view! Nice host who arranged for us to see a traditional dancer performance in Kandy and took us to it by tuktuk. The next day he took us by tuktuk through tea plantations, a tea factory and to the train station Nanu Oya. New and comfortable equipment.

The location is absolutely lovely with stunning mountain views. The room, bed, and facilities were all excellent—clean, comfortable, and well maintained. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

A lovely guest house with very helpful hosts. It is located on a mountain, near the center, offering stunning views of the surrounding area and the city. For 1-2 dollars, you can use a tuk-tuk to go down or up to the house, or you can walk, but it's better only during daylight hours. Right at the hotel, you can book guided tours from the host at a very reasonable price. The rooms are small, but very cozy and clean. I'll be happy to come back again.

Everything was nice and clean, we were scared at first cz we read some bad reviews, but the family there was so friendly and helpful, even when we couldn’t find a tuktuk to go back home they came and picked us, we only stayed for 1 night, the location was bit challenging cz tuktuk asked for alot to reach there, but we enjoyed everything and the views were amazing

It is bit difficult to go there with your own vehicle because of the narrow road and parking space. Better if you are travelling by UBER or taxi.

Very helpful. They allowed us to prepare our dinner in there kitchen. They did our laundry free of charge. Once we wanted to change to an A/C room, they offered to move out stuff while we were away, everything was perfect. Very honest people. It was a truly a homestay.

The place is beautiful, and the rooms are cozy and spotless. You can book tours on site organized by the owners. Since I stayed for a week, they even offered to wash my clothes for free, which I really appreciated.

The Owner & his Family were very helpful, always wanted us to enjoy our freedom, requesting us to have a good rest and have some lovely tea. The view was fantastic & the air cool as ever. Had a refreshing hot-water bath which was great, The bed was very comfy & the room very peaceful. Nighttime sight was really a wonderful sight. I will be going there next time, too.
