I stayed at this hotel in Haputale and had a truly wonderful experience. The location, right in front of the tea plantations, makes it a very peaceful and special place. The building is modern, new, and very well kept, with excellent cleanliness throughout. Shan and Piyumi, the hosts, are incredibly kind and always available, making me feel really welcome. The food was another highlight – both breakfast and dinner were delicious and carefully prepared. Overall, it’s a magical spot, with a wonderful view, run with great care and attention. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Haputale.

Amazing view from the room, very clean. We were upgraded to a larger room too - thank you! Also for dinner we had some of the best food we’ve eaten in Sri Lanka - so good! Fresh vegetables, spices, just delicious. It’s a great location for walking, we wish we had more time to do some more. The host also took us to the station for the train for free :)

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The views are absolutely amazing—I honestly could have spent all day just relaxing in my room and taking them in, I did go out to explore the area though. :) Both the room and bathroom were very spacious and spotlessly clean, the hotel is very new. The host was very kind and attentive, making me feel right at home. The restaurant served the best home-cooked meal I had in Sri Lanka. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful tea plantations, which are perfect for walks, and it’s just a short stroll to Adisham Bungalow (St. Benedict’s Monastery), a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone considering a stay in Haputale.

A wonderful place to stay in Haputale. Stunning views from the room and balcony. Room is great and more than worth for the money. The owner is very kind and helpful, he arranged early check-in upon my request and even booked a train ticket for me. Tasty meals are available at hotel for reasonable prices. A truly pleasant and memorable stay.

Upgrade a door lock rather than using a padlock. Seal the room from door grills for more privacy. Cover the balcony with a wall rather than the concrete fence so people from down can’t see your guests & will help them for better privacy.

The property was in a beautiful and convenient location in Haputale. The room we stayed in had one of the best views I’ve ever seen. The prices were very reasonable. There were several food items to pick from the dinner and breakfast menus. Overall highly recommended for locals and tourists both!

Amazingly beautiful panoramic views over the mountains from the bed, the balcony, and even the hallway (we were on the second floor). The guesthouse is located in a peaceful and relaxing environment, in the middle of pretty tea fields. The room and the bed are very comfortable, as well as the pillows and bedsheets. The shower is nice and hot. Fast wifi. The owners are so kind! They welcomed us with a whole pot of tea, and they serve a lovely breakfast and dinner. We loved our it so much here that we extended our stay.

Amazing view from the balcony and also from inside the room due to the windows and glass door. Light was great in the room, large bed, good bathroom with toiletries. Lots of attention to detail. Shan kindly picked us up with tuk tuk from the centre when we arrived and when we needed to go to the station. On the opposite side of the property there are tea plantations which are lovely to walk through at sunrise. Very tasty breakfast and evening meals as well. Loved the quiet location and would definitely return as the views of the valley are stunning. Thank you for a great stay.

Nothing to dislike here. It was honestly the best price/quality ratio we’ve had in all our Sri Lanka journey.

What an amazing stay! We were there for 3 days. Our room was super spacious, clean and well-furnished. We had access to a cute balcony to watch the sun rise and the evening mist cover the land. The room stays cool when the days are hot and heavy. There’s warm water and a blanket for the rainy ones. We stayed in one afternoon due to the weather and it was very cosy. The owners are very welcoming and eager to help. They arranged a scooter rental for us and helped us define our itinerary. The food was particularly delicious, we ate there two nights in a row. The place is also very well located and you can start hiking to the jungle bird sanctuary or the ancient catholic monastery right from the doorstep. I recommend to take the stairs and go uphill to enjoy the breathtaking view.

Staff were extremely helpful &polite. Double aspect room was terrific with views to die for. All surrounded by tea plantations &a cloudy mist in the morning as you are more than 1475 metres above sea level. Very clean room with tea &coffee Restaurant food good too&well priced.

Mountain Paradise Bliss occupies the upper floors of Nilowin Glenanore guesthouse (managed by another member of the same family). It has a quiet location on the edge of a tea estate near Adisham monastery, about 3km from Haputale town. The rooms are large, modern and well-equipped, with private bathrooms. The balconies have wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. Tasty local meals are available. Shan and his wife Piyumi are charming young professional hosts who can arrange excursions and hikes (including Horton Plains, Lipton’s Seat, Ella, Pekoe Trail). I have stayed here 4 times and am already planning my next visit.

We had much more of what we expected for the rate paid.

This b&b is managed by Dilshan and gentle Piyumi and their family. They manage the place with charme and love and you feel to be home as soon as you step inside. They are ready to offer suggestions for sightseeing with a local expert. I was amazed seeing a few European customers that keep coming back to the Guest House. When I left I realized why. The room we had was spacious and had a terrace with view. Topically Sri Lankian style decorated. A large bathroom with shower and morning breakfast with local traditional food. WiFi was available and good. Do not expect luxury’s, but attention and love is guaranteed.

Shan the owner does not seem to have a relation or marriage with a local girl, instead he was flirting around with a very corpulent, white english girl. So everything ok, just that there was no familiy harmony as you should expect.

The rooms have a wonderfull view of the mountains, so bla bla bla booking.com is telling me to use more words.... The food was OK.
