It’s located a few kilometres from Ella, so you’ll always need transportation to get there. A tuk-tuk is easy to find, and if not, the owner will gladly help arrange one for you.

It’s in the calm and green area close to ella, mind that it’s not in a walking distance but in a silent beautiful area. It’s clean and got a charm of the british. the owners take care allot and are very helpful and friendly. we enjoy our stay there! Beds are compfy and big and covers by mosquito nets

The location is far away from Ella (ca 3-4km) and it wasn't quite. The main road is nearby and so it was loud and there is a location with noisy beats around.

Comfortable, clean and quiet room (with Netflix!), great view, and a short tuk tuk hop into the centre of town. It’s run by a lovely couple who are incredibly helpful and kind. They made me a little takeaway breakfast parcel on my last day (when I had to leave very early).

The mosquito net wasn’t very effective, it’s ruffled around the top and there are gaps - I get bitten horrendously so so and to make sure I slept covered in insect lotion.

The hosts were so helpful, and provided the most amazing breakfast every day - I felt bad because it was too much to eat! I really can’t explain enough how kind and helpful they were. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the balcony beautiful. Hot water was available and lovely cotton sheets.

Yohan and his parents were so warm and hospitable throughout our entire stay. From the lovely home-cooked local breakfasts to helping us with transport arrangements, they made sure we were comfortable and that we felt at home. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Ella!

A bit hard to access by tuk tuk due to the steep driveway, but not anything to complain about!

The view from the balcony was tranquil and beautiful. The garden was a lovely addition to the view as well as the birds and squirrels. The house was clean and well-kept. The room was spacious and inviting.

DON’T GO HERE AS A FEMALE SOLO TRAVELLER. The owners seemed really nice but the second day right after I had paid, the owner grabbed me and pushed his face in my neck. After that he asked to come into my bedroom. I immediately left and honestly it is the worst experience I’ve had in Sri Lanka. As a female solo traveler you always have to be on your guard and if someone takes advantage of your situation it really feels horrible. I feel sorry for the wife, she seemed very sweet.

The steep drive to the house. First gear in the tuktuk!

The homestay is set about 3km from Ella which suited us being away from the noise of Ella town centre. Nice big room with all facilities and an enormous breakfast each day. Our hosts were very helpful with info about the surroundings and arranged transport into the town for our evening meals. If you want a peaceful location, but with easy access to the town then this is the place.

The location is slightly off the city center, but that’s easily fixed with a 600 rupee tuktuk ride. Pillows were super high, but we got used to them the first night.

Everything was more than in order: super comfortable bed, fluffy towel, super clean warm shower and nice view from the comfortable balcony. Hotel level experience for a guest house price, will definitely come back again.

Yohan and his family were the most kind and thoughtful since the minute I’ve made the reservation. From that minute until I checked out, everything I’ve requested was dealt immediately, and with extreme kindness and care. About the hotel, it’s the perfect spot to be in Ella. Away from the noise of Ella town, but still very close to every major point, you can enjoy the beauty and silence of the mountain. If you like hiking, places like Nine Arch Bridge, Little Adam’s Peak or Ella Rock are somewhere between 1 to 2 hours walking. Very reasonable. If not, you just take a tuk tuk for around 2/3 dollars. Accommodation was super clean and very comfortable, with delicious breakfast being served with a very generous portion. Apparently, I was the first guest, but I hope just the first of many. They deserve it!
