The property was very nice and clean. The room was big and comfortable like in the photos, with a great panoramic view. You will be welcomed by Dr. Nimal and his wife, two beautiful person, who will take care of you in your entire stay. They’ve also managed to prepare our breakfast before the usual time, arranging a very tasty breakfast box

The rooms and location were as described - very good! The hosts are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, they helped us with many organizational questions (also had very good tips/suggestions). The breakfast was great, and it was also so pleasant to converse with our hosts. They treated us like family, and we are so grateful that they shared their home with us!

I had the most wonderful stay at Mount Haven in Kandy. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm hospitality and felt instantly at home. The location is perfect—tucked away in the hills, offering peaceful surroundings and breathtaking views over Kandy. The room was spotless, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with a very comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed. Waking up to birdsong and mist-covered hills was a dream. Breakfast was delicious—fresh, generous portions, and served with a smile. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout my stay. Whether you’re visiting Kandy for culture, nature, or simply to relax, I can’t recommend Mount Haven enough. A true hidden gem! What I like the most is the host, they are very nice, and their dog “Bella” is also lovely. Hope to have a chance to visit Kandy and stay here again.

Nothing really. The approach road is a bit narrow and steep, so if you are driving yourself that's something you need to consider.

A very welcoming homestay run by a senior couple and their cute dog Bella. They made us feel at home right away. We had great conversations during the stay. The house is beautiful in a secluded area. The room we stayed in had nice view with lots of greens around. The room size was huge with a beautiful balcony. Breakfast was sumptuous too.

The owners were friendly and helpful. Had breakfast ready for when we needed it. It wasn't far from the city centre but steep for tuk tuks but they still do the job. There was a situation where we were locked out and the door bell wasn't working at first pressed 3times. We knocked and there was nothing. Then my husband tried and typically it worked and we were let in .

The resort had a dog kept within the premises, with its food and water bowls placed on the floor. This led to saliva and food particles spreading on the ground, making the floor seem unclean. Additionally, the ground-floor room lacked privacy, as the owner lived in the same space. Another point to note is that the owner offered an expensive city tour package, which seemed unreasonable.

We would have loved a Sri Lankan savoury breakfast, it's not for everyone but we'd have loved to give a preference that we'd have been very happy with curry for breakfast.

This absolutely beautiful room blew us away, the windows are huge giving incredible views and light throughout the room. I sat in bed at sunrise and watched the monkeys eating jackfruit in the trees. The location is great, we walked into town even though we had our own tuktuk. The owners are so welcoming and kind, we felt so well looked after.

Me and my family have stayed at this guest house 3 times now and will continue to do so every time we return to Sri Lanka. This time I returned with my partner Mattia. I, myself, am gluten and lactose intolerant and Lanka, always made a beautiful breakfast that I could eat. They truly want only the best for their guests and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay. But truly, their driver Lalith is an incredible man. He made our trip to Sri Lanka and we cannot recommend him enough for his kindness, honesty and time. For 3 days from 8am to 8pm he took to a variety of destinations from temples to waterfalls to tea plantations and cooking classes. Thank you for opening your wonderful home to us Nimal and Lanka- we hope to see you soon!

The bed linens and towels were clean, but the room could have been a little bit cleaner, especially the little mats on the floor.

We had a lovely stay at Mount Haven. We were welcomed with a juice which we enjoyed. Our host was very kind and helpful by arranging activities and transportation. The bed was comfortable and we had warm water for the shower.

Amazing stay in Kandy, one of our favourite accommodations in Sri Lanka. The hosts are very helpful and friendly and they welcomed us with a nice drink and we had a lovely chat and they even helped to treat my wife's wound which recovered quickly. Spacious rooms with good facilities, good bathroom, nice views and very very delicious breakfast in the morning. All this was very good value for money, so we would definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Kandy!!

Honestly what an amazing amazing place, both Nimal and Lanka were superb hosts throughout my two day stay, beautiful house not far from the city centre just a short tuk tuk journey away. Lovely Sri Lankan breakfast made each morning. Have to mention Lalith who was just such a wonderful man driving me around the city showing me all the sights in his trusted tuk tuk.
