Recommend staying here!. Couple from Australia and Ireland, late 20s early 30s. This places was lovely, very modern and new and you can tell. Its extremely big and the photos actually dont do it justice, so i took some more to show how big the space was. Massive bedroom, and had a self service kitchen and dining table. Could definitely get a pool table in the upstairs area as it is nice and open. Its a good location about 5-10min walk from the beach and main road.

There are a couple of ants around but if you dont keep food in the room you will be fine

Very central located place in Mirissa. Just some steps away from the beach. The room was as seen on the pictures. Very clean and has everything you need for a short stay.

Rooms were basic but were perfect for what we needed it for. They were extremely clean and location of the accommodation was perfect. Just a short walk to the beach and street or main restaurants. Staff helped us with booking a taxi from here to Matara bus station at a really reasonable price. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great location close to everything. Nice big room/bathroom and fridge for keeping drinks cold. Staff were super helpful opening the gate so we could park our tuk tuk. Highly recommend for a comfortable stay

We booked this accommodation at the very last minute, and it was absolutely no problem. The owner’s brother took care of us right away, making us feel welcome from the start. The place is exceptionally clean and perfectly located, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable—truly a hidden gem! Highly recommended!

Wifi working and it is nice speed if compare with other Sri Lanka (~20-30mb), very spacious and clean room. Closet, desk, two chairs inside. Free kitchen and kitchenware for the guests. Cleaning is weekly, but brothers (owners) can help with everything, they were available whole stay offline or on whatsup. Worth for money, we stayed here 1 week and decided to prolong, because of this is the place you don’t want to leave! Thanks for the beautiful 2 weeks Cocoon!!

Property is a bit run down although they were updating part of it while we were there.

The place was in a great location. Very close to the main strip but on a quieter street. About a 7 minute walk to the beach. The host upgraded our room for free. We had access to a small shared kitchen including a fridge and freezer. The AC worked well. The host arranged an airport transfer for us at a better rate than what I found online. The host always responded to messages promptly.

It’s a little hard to find at first. Google maps brings you to the exact spot but the sign for the place is hidden in the trees across the street.

Big room, AC, lots of lights, clean bathroom. The staff are lovely and welcoming. Overall good value for money, especially for Sri Lanka.

We moved here from another property within Mirissa that wasn’t what it was advertised - the owner was able to accommodate us at short notice, great location walking distance to all of the main cafes/restaurants, near to our favourite (Junction Cafe and Gedara Curry). Really clean, excellent air con and quiet at night (road fairly busy until 7-8pm but not much after this) We booked into the budget double room which didn’t have a fridge, but staff were more than happy to let us use fridge over the road in the kitchen

There are a few reviews mentioning mosquitos - an unavoidable element of the location of this hostel with lovely nature on the property is that there are some mosquitos present outside - the room had a good mosquito net and they weren’t a problem.

Clean room with good A/C and mosquito net. Nice cupboard and a table in the room. The bed was very comfortable. The wash room was ok, well-kept but with some mosquitos (no net in the window). There is a kitchen with fridge, stove and a kettle. It is a good location, a bit remote, not at the loud main street, but still in a walking distance from the beach. Good price/worth ratio. Very nice and friendly owner and his brother who helps to run the place.

Not much really. Not so easy to see the sign from the street when you first arrive. There are mosquitos storming the wash room (please add a net in the window). The additional whale watching trip we bought was in an affordable price, but took too long and we didn't get to see any whales (just a few bottle-nose dolphins). In general we didn't like Mirissa that much (too touristic for our taste), which obviously is not host's fault.

The room was spacious, modern, and clean. It had AC and a fan, and both worked great. Location was excellent, right in the centre of everything. The owner and his brother were brilliant! We had trouble with a taxi (booked through somebody else) when we were moving to Udawalawe, and they sorted a large van for us within 15 minutes. I would highly recommend this place.

Clean, spacious and quiet room with a good bathroom and comfortable bed.

Occasional black outs, that are not owners’ fault though.

We felt very comfortable :). Location is good. The room and bathroom have a good size, mattress/pillos are comfy, AC and fan work well and there is a small kitchen.

During the day it's noisy but at night is nice and peaceful.

The room was very clean

The owner woke us from our sleep and insisted I open the room door to meet him where he was waiting. Not happy to be woken and have to open the door partly clothed.

Good location for the beach. Owner and brother very friendly. Good “shared” kitchen area. Rooms were big and air AC was good.
