There was a water heater, but perhaps I didn’t figure out how to use it properly. The water was warm but not as hot as I would have liked. Since I was in a rush, I didn’t have time to call the manager and sort it out.

This property offers the best view the lake was absolutely stunning. The pleasant weather combined with the scenery made the stay truly worthwhile. The room was spacious, the breakfast delicious, and the hospitality exceptional. I would highly recommend this place.

The host and people were incredibly nice and helpful. I would very much recommend this place. It’s also located right in the centre of nuwara Eliya with a view of the lake from the balcony.

The pillows and bed area could a little more cleaner. It was not dirty exactly but i have extreme dust allergy, so even the slightest smell/dust bothers me. The bathroom needs more light, esp. at night its very dark. It was a bit difficult to locate the hotel as google maps shows it from the main road. Also at night, the distant party buses went on till 11pm, although its not the stay's fault.

Loved the view from the balcony, it was like a postcard, absolutely STUNNING! The room was spacious with cozy setups and was well equipped (had room slippers which none our other SL hotels had). The host was very warm and always smiling, he tried to cater to all our requirements. The home cooked breakfast by the host's wife was good too. His warm behavior was the perfect example of Lankan hospitality which we've always heard of.

It was raining heavily and was very windy. Rain leaked in a bit from the front balcony door. The rooms were musty.

Lovely spacious room with a balcony over looking the lake. The staff welcomed us with fresh tea upon arrival and provided a kettle and tea bags in the room also. It was great to also have a sofa and chairs as there were 3 of us.

If you have light sleep, you may hear the noise from.outside, but bear, my stay was along local celebrations.

Close to Victoria Park - 20 minutes walk. The amazing local breakfast was prepared by the family.

You have to turn on the heater for the shower beforehand. I wasn't aware of this and therefore had to take a cold shower.

A spacious room with a balcony and a wonderful view of Lake Gregory. The host was really nice and helpful and the breakfast was good. The location is also great with several restaurants nearby.

Had a great stay here. The view of the lake is beautiful and the family who run the hotel are so kind, friendly & helpful. Room was huge and beds were so comfy, would highly recommend staying here :)

The room was enormous and very stylishly decorated. I sat on the couch curled up with a blanket drinking my tea and felt so comfy and cosy while it was raining outside. The view is directly of the lake but it was bad weather when I stayed so I don’t know how nice it is. It’s right by the road but the windows are soundproof so the street noise is kept to a minimum. I slept very well in the big bed and bedding was of great quality. The bathroom is a little more dated but clean and with hot water. Breakfast was big and varied, really good coffee. The hosts were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. I had dinner at the restaurant next door. I think it’s called frostbite or something. Tasty and good value for money. I only stayed for one night so it was fairly short. There’s a Tv, kettle and teas plus books and a lovely little window nook to sit in. All very thoughtful.

It was a little bit hard to find the place in dark at first, but when I called the owner for help, he came out and helped our driver for direction. Very good at communication and helpful.

Everything about Medalin Lake Gregory was awesome. We stayed one night with my husband and my family members. We got 4 different rooms and they were all clean and met our expectations. We all enjoyed staying there. The view was amazing! The owner was very nice and helpful. All the restaurants he recommended was good and tasty! We loved our Nuwara Eliya stay!

Noise carries, with one group of guests making a lot of noise leaving at 6am
