Location, hosts and breakfasts were great. Room was a great size, aircon worked well. Location was great 8 min walk to main street, 15 minute walk to 9 Arch Bridge and close to Adams Peak

if your drive yourself: last section of road is quite narrow (but manageable), not much not to like!

Tucked away in silent area just off the main road, which is great (main road is very hectic), very kind staff, super helpful, great room for a homestay, good parking facility and delicious breakfast

Everything, from the moment I booked I was contacted and my whole stay I was completely at ease. Great tuk tuk contact who did great deals and I even got a fabulous price for a taxi to my next destination! Breakfast was brilliant and the facilities were amazing! Definitely recommending this home stay! Dushaun is amazing, the best host I have had so far! As a single female travelling I felt safe and the property is in a fantastic location too.

We had such a wonderful stay at McQueen Homestay! The cottage is absolutely adorable, cozy, beautiful and it felt like home right away! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the location is just perfect. The host is incredibly kind and helpful, which made our stay even better. Great location (about 15 min walk to centre of Ella), beautiful little rustic cottage, super clean, host Dhanush was so helpful and would drive us to the train station and organise tuk tuks whenever we needed. Breakfast was delicious featuring abundant fruit and Sri Lankan dishes!

The homestay is perfectly located in a quiet area between the main street and the 9-arch bridge. The room is very comfortable (in particular the cottage) and the owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Overall McQueen homestay is a great place to stay.

The garden view is not so much a garden view but more a road view, not that that discouraged us.

It had been raining a few days when we arrived so the room smelt a little damp but to be expected up in the hills!!

We received a lovely warm welcome from the family who own the property on arrival and they were friendly throughout, even driving us to the train station the day we left. The breakfast is fabulous and the rooms are spacious and clean. Perfect location to walk into Ella Town and to other attractions. Great value for money.

Hosts were very accommodating. They let us check in very early, provided us with a moped and always made sure we ate loads for breakfast to fill us up for the day. Accommodation was very close to central Ella, close to little Adam’s peak and nine arch bridge.

Our stay was short but wonderful! The host was extremely attentive, and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Our 1-year-and-9-month-old son slept really well! We found the house beautiful and cozy. The location was also great — we walked to the restaurant. On the way back, we took a tuk-tuk since the main road doesn’t have a sidewalk, and we felt it was unsafe to walk at night due to the traffic. The breakfast was one of the best we had during our trip — everything was delicious! On top of that, my mother-in-law forgot her laptop charger in the room, and the host, very generously, sent it to our hotel in Kandy. We were truly grateful for his kindness and helpfulness. Thank you so much!

McQueen is located in a quiet part of Ella but still only 10-15min walk from the center. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and breakfast was excellent.

Little loud due to the road but not a major issue.

Very friendly host, great big breakfast. Comfortable bed. Left clothes for washing, at a small fee, and they were returned within a few hours. Great service. Little Adams Peak and 9 Arches Bridge trail within walking distance too!
