Our stay was an absolute dream. The architecture of the house is really nice. The host and staff members are simply amazing. The host Asintha is someone you hope to meet at a 5 star resort but rarely get. He is very caring while giving you full privacy. He made our stay very special and we wish him all the best with his accommodation and can fully recommend it. We stayed in many great accommodations throughout our many travels but this stays is among the top 3. The house only has two rooms, so it is very calm and makes the stay very relaxing. The location is also super nice, close to town but away from the noise. It was always easy to get a tuk.

🥇Nestled in the stunning hills surrounding Kandy, this residence is just a quick Tuk-Tuk ride away from the vibrant city centre and the iconic temple. The house is beautifully organised and adorned, making it feel like a true home away from home. Asitha elevates the hosting experience to an extraordinary level — you won't want to leave this place. His breakfast is fantastic! NB: No pool and did not need it.

Highly recommend! House is very nice, clean and special. We had rented one out of the two bedrooms, and were the only guests that night, so we had the great living room and kitchen area to ourselves. We had the room without own balcony, but that was not a problem. The room is big and clean, with a very cool design and an outside shower (covered so no insects inside). House also had a balcony we could use, with view of the mountains. The host was very friendly and helpful, and offered great breakfast. He also offered to help us ordering dinner delivered to the house, and gave us a bottle of wine - which is way more than expected!

As it is not at walking distance to the city center, we ordered a pizza with Uber for dinner at the house, but of course by taxi you can easily go.

The house is beautiful, with a lot of art and wooden doors - we loved all the design details. Bed and shower were very comfortable and the room is very spacious. The staff was super friendly and Kavi prepared us a fantastic breakfast , we really were surprised by all the details and beauty of this accomodation. Thank you so much again, we truly enjoyed our stay!

This hotel is a treasure on the whole island of Sri Lanka! Asitha is a gentle and considerate gentleman. We felt the warmth from a foreign country after just one day, not to mention the rich and delicious English breakfast. If I come to Kandy next time, I will bring my friends and family to stay here for a few more days! By the way, I saw a firefly flying in at night, and it was like a fairy tale at that moment.

Exceptional stay with friendly hosts! Beautiful, well-appointed rooms with spacious, clean bathrooms. Amazing breakfast including buffalo yogurt, fresh fruits, and quality sausages. Peaceful residential location just minutes from city center - perfect for those with a car. Lovely wildlife around with hedgehogs and birds. Feels like a real home rather than just accommodation.

This property is a rare gem and stood out to us as a truly unique and amazing experience. The host pays attention to detail and the property is a wonderful, starting from the location on quiet hills out of town where you can relax on terrace and watch birds , everything is perfectly cleaned and the design and decoration is incredible and interesting. The breakfast was amazing and the host truly makes a perfect cup of tea and best eggs and made our family feel very welcome.

These are things why you should choose this place to stay in: 1. In whole house there are only 2 rooms. So it often happens that you will be the only guest in whole house. In this case Asitha - the owner will let you use both rooms. There is real tropical rain under the open sky in one of them. 2. Asitha is very attentive owner. He takes care of every single moment while you staying. 3. Amazing breakfasts 4. Quiet please among the jungle 5. Parking 6. Price for staying is very low. We even thought owner will ask to pay more than price booking :)

The directions to the house weren't great, with booking.com showing the house in the wrong place. Make sure to make contact beforehand to get the right address. Location is still good though. The photos on booking.com aren't particularly helpful. The master bedroom has the balcony and a/c. The other room has no a/c but has an outdoor shower which is great. There is no pool on-site but there is access available to a lovely one nearby (10 minute walk).

The house itself is very stylish indeed, with lovely touches throughout. The host, Asitha, is a lovely person who went well out of his way to make our stay special. I'd go so far as to say that it was some of the most impressive and personal service I've ever seen. The breakfasts were really great (something we found to be the case all across Sri Lanka), and the outdoor shower in the smaller bedroom was superb. We wished we could stay longer... If only all hotels and guest houses were as nice as this one!

The culinary offerings at Margossa Residence were a true highlight of my stay. Both the English and Sri Lankan breakfasts were an absolute treat for the taste buds. The flavors, freshness, and variety provided a perfect start to each day, and I genuinely savored every bite. The villa's amenities and room facilities were beyond compare. The seamless Wi-Fi connectivity ensured that I remained connected throughout my stay, and the well-appointed room boasted all the comforts one could hope for.
