We had a wonderful stay here. The host was so welcoming and kind, he served us the most delicious traditional Sri Lankan breakfast each morning, and we ate it with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and forest. He was even so kind that he fetched me some bags of the tea he uses so I can take it home to the UK! The place seems like it is a far walk from the center, but if you cut into the train tracks and walk along there it will only take 5 minutes! We walked up the stairs of Divine View home stay and walked past it to the train tracks, and from there it is a quick shortcut to the town.

Host is Very Attentive! We felt very looked after He can source a scooter for a fair price so that it's easier to see ella. Town is 10/15 min walk along the tracks.

Amazing place - look no further! You have a whole room and en suite all to yourself with incredible views of the valley below and wildlife. The family that run the guesthouse are so sweet and attentive, and cooked the nicest breakfasts. They also offered a great cooking class and can help with things like renting scooters, making the whole stay seamless and carefree!

The shower could have been more powerful, but this didn’t dampen our stay!

The breakfast was fantastic, a selection of fresh tropical fruit along with egg hoppers and coconut pancakes along with water and a pot of Ceylon tea. We were even provided extra bananas throughout our stay. Our dinner provided by our hosts wife was also delicious! A selection of 5 homemade curries along with rice and poppadoms and a beer each. Dinner and breakfast were served on a beautiful front garden looking out at the rainforest and was beautiful to look at and we were visited by various wildlife throughout! The place is absolutely magical, hidden in the jungle, but not too far away from the city. Easy 10 mins walk. It’s quiet and private. Amazing view. The owner is very nice and helpful and will make you tea whenever you want! Also he helped us to reach Ella Rock so we wouldn’t get lost. Best place to stay in Ella, a lot of people passed by to ask if they have free room!

We absolutely loved staying at Mango Shadow Inn! Initially, we planned to stay for just one night, but we extended our stay to three nights—and we would have happily stayed even longer. This place is truly perfect in every way. The Host: The owner is the kindest, most caring, and hospitable person we’ve ever met. He puts so much love and effort into running this guest house and truly treats his guests like family. He always goes above and beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and happy. You’ll feel like you’ve come to visit your favorite uncle, and leaving will tug at your heartstrings. The Accommodation: The guest house consists of a single, standalone cottage, so you won’t have any neighbors—complete privacy! The cottage is spotless, with fresh linens and towels. There’s also a separate small house with a kitchen that you can use if you need to cook, store food in the fridge, or boil water. The Surroundings: The views are breathtaking, overlooking lush jungles and mountains, with the soothing sounds of nature 24/7. It’s a peaceful retreat yet conveniently located—just a 10-minute walk to the center of Ella via a shortcut along the train tracks. The guest house is also on the path to Ella Rock, making it ideal for hikers. The Breakfasts: The host comes by twice a day. In the mornings, he prepares the most delicious and varied breakfasts in the kitchen with so much care and heart. Each breakfast was different, fresh, and absolutely wonderful! In the evenings, he checks in to see if you need anything and is happy to serve you tea while chatting about your day. Staying at Mango Shadow Inn feels like being wrapped in a warm hug. Two nights for a great price. Very nice owner who made wonderful and varied breakfasts. Clean room with big bathroom and hot water. Suitable for people who want privacy and peace. From the terrace a view through the trees to the valley. Our ninth accommodation and the best internet and overall accommodation so far. The journey from the center is mostly uphill, but you can take a Tuk Tuk and it's not far. We recommend!

Amazing stay and lovely host. The position is amazing, outside of the crowd around 15 min walking from the center. We never took a tuk tuk as the walk was so beautiful crossing the forest. Basic room with fantastic view in the morning while sitting out enjoying breakfast. WiFi really good as you have your own modem in the room. 15 mins walk from the High St on a fairly rough road, only minutes if you have transport tho.

It's a little far from the city, but you can get there in about 10 minutes through the train rail path. Nice, quiet and cozy home. Will definitely come back to this place!

I went there with my husband for my birthday celebration I should say We loved everything was there Foods are so delicious also it had separate kitchen to cook ourself too. It waa a comfortable bed no disterbance & mostly i like clean bathroom with hot water I could upload my all photoa to my face book due to good wifi connection Remarcable hospitality .... As it is a stand alone cabin, the host (or his father) is not on site if you run into any issues, they were however easy to contact via message.

Delicious large breakfast, only a 10/15 minute walk from the train station and town if you shortcut on the railway line. Very quiet location (there is only one room) with a little balcony to watch animals and the clouds (or sun). Good mosquito net and nice powerful and warm shower. Owners father was there to greet us and gave us breakfast every morning.
