For the money the place was great, the only downside is that it’s a bit out of town, but only 5 minutes or so by tuk tuk.

The family room was spacious and clean with a good shower. The kids enjoyed the pool.

they didnt have wifi working at all time. they had a limited amount of data that would ran out leaving us without wifi to work online. also, the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

The older rooms are a bit tired and could do with a lick of paint. Bed was in need of oiling.

The property has two sections to it. The first one is the original hotel where you have large basic double rooms with a large bathroom. No aircon but with big fans. Which is what we prefer. The second part of the hotel is the new part with rooms with aircon. The hotel is building more new rooms onsite, but it doesn’t hinder your stay. The pool is big and refreshing. Would definitely recommend staying here. The staff were great.

Nothing really. The mattress was maybe a bit thin but that is our preference. It would be nice to have a small fridge in the room. However the hotel allowed us to use their fridge.

The staff were super friendly and prepared a lovely complimentary soup on our first day. Everywhere on the property was clean including the good pool. Nice garden too. There were a few good restaurants nearby (Bistro Yalaa and Blue Turtle) and a great juice bar, Fresh Chilli cafe. Excellent value . There are beautiful walks to the lakes either side of the property, Yoda and Tissa.

We stayed at this hotel for just one night to visit Yala Safari. Unfortunately, our stay began on a slightly bitter note due to the hotel's location not being accurately updated on Google Maps. I highly recommend requesting the exact location beforehand to avoid any confusion. The same issue occurred with our driver when he came to pick us up in the morning—despite sending him the location, he had difficulty finding the hotel, which was a bit stressful. That said, the manager went above and beyond to make up for the inconvenience. He met us out in the streets during a downpour and kindly upgraded our room in honor of our honeymoon. The room was beautifully decorated and had a lovely view of the pool. The pool itself was clean and well-maintained, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time swimming. The hotel offers to order food for guests, but you don't get to see the menu or prices beforehand, so unless this changes, I would recommend dining elsewhere. While our lunch was pleasant, the chicken kottu we ordered for dinner was filled with bones, and we ended up not eating it (though we still had to pay for it). If the food had been prepared in-house or if we were at a restaurant, we would have returned it, but that wasn't an option here. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we did feel welcome. The manager's efforts to help with the issues we encountered were greatly appreciated.

Tissa is a tuk tuk ride away (costing £1 circa), convenient town if you need bank/shops/pharmacy etc.

Lovely place with a beautiful pool, our room was big and clean although basic. Nice hot shower. The AC stopped working in the first room we were given so we switched to another room which was slightly better. The host gave us complimentary delicious fruit juices on both days we stayed. We weren't pressured to buy a safari with them as we already had one booked. The place gets lit up with loads of fairy lights at night, very pretty. A couple of restaurants and a little shop in walking distance. I've read mixed reviews about cleanliness, our room was clean and not run down or old, we had shower gel and soap in the bathroom. This has been one of the best places we stayed in Sri Lanka at this price.

Pool felt not clean. Booked it for the pool, so that was a bit disappointing. Rooms are old. Things were broken in the bathroom. There was a old soap left in the room. No clamboo for the mosquitos. Also there were holes in the towels.

We didn’t have high expectations given the price and our previous experiences in Sri Lanka, but we were still a bit disappointed that the basic standards weren’t fully met. Upon arrival, we noticed the bathroom was damp, with a used soap left in the holder, and one of the beds appeared unmade, with some hair on the pillow that didn’t match any of ours. The bed was also missing a blanket. The towels had some stains, and while we had air conditioning, a few mosquitoes were still present as there was no mosquito net. Additionally, the power went out a few times during our stay.

Good situated for a trip to Yala National Park. We stayed one night and booked spontaneously and didn‘t have too many options left. We choose this place for the pool, which was actually the best thing in this hotel. We were greated nicely by the staff.

I've been in Sri Lanka for 3.5 weeks, and this was the best accommodation so far! The room looked very new, was spotless clean, the shower was amazing, and the food was very tasty! My scooter was broken, and they went out of their way to help me. Also, the pool is very clean and there are some sun loungers. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again!

We had a great stay in Malindu! The host was great. We ate 2 dinners and 1 breakfast here and the meals were perfect! The swimming pool was really well kept and a great place to relax after a safari. Can’t fault.

Dirty toilet and shower with hairs and papers on the floor from past customers. Poor wifi and the usage of a group of indians all dressed in clothes in the pool shouting all evening.
