The room was perfect, AC if you wanted. I turned it off at night and the temperature was fine. Comfortable bed. Plenty of electrical points. Very quiet. The bathroom had hot water! Good pressure. A little individual shady terrace for relaxing. Fridge and electric jug available. Very good value. Only the father speaks English.

If picky there were a few plumbing bits that needed attention in the bathroom but it did not bother us.

Friendly Stay English family of five (18,16,14) took two rooms For two nights. Super friendly hosts , we were looked after very well and well fed with traditional local food too. Clean simple rooms.

The owners are so so lovely and breakfast was good. The room was nice and spacious, there were hot showers(!) And the garden surrounding it is so pretty too! All in all, a very lovely stay

Well, It's worth for the price. clean and comfy beds. oh and they gave us a superb, tasty tea when we requested. both evening and morning. both owner and his wife are friendly. very close to polonnaruwa Gal wiharaya and all other places. walking distance. calm stay. air con was good. bathroom was with hot water facility. overall, our stay was good. recommending to others as well.

Lots of insects in the room - cockroaches, mosquitoes and wasps. Poor ventilation, rooms has strong moth ball smell the whole time.

Beddings were dirty No towels The bathrooms were full of frogs. When flush the toilets so many frogs were flushing Very dirty facility We rented the shared kitchen also dirty and frogs were in the sink. Not happy about the facility.

The room was very comfortable but the bathroom had lots of frogs! I didn’t mind much, they didn’t come into the bedroom- but it might bother some people so FYI.

Good facilities relative to price. Comfy bed, good sized bedroom. Good aircon. Breakfast/dinner was lovely, reasonably priced. Great hosts, who went out of their way to accommodate us. Including organising a tuktuk from bus stop to property, and bicycles for us to do the ancient city. Also helped us find a bus to leave!

the room smelled mouldy and was humid as well. felt like that it had been closed for a while. could really use a deep cleaning and freshen up.

Since the long duration between reserves, the insect problem will be overcomes if the room cleaning occurs just before arriving new guests not just after living the previous. when we arrived the windows was open and many insects was in the room. When we wanted leaving the room for a couple of hours, the owner asked us to turn the AC off, so in our return the room was so warm. In the room and bathroom was frogs, beetle and lizard. It was in old city and far from the city center.

The owner was very polite and friendly. He helped us in finding the bus from Trincomalee to Polonnaruwa and also arranged a tuktuk with a reasonable price from bus station to property and also for visiting attractions. We ordered launch which was very delicious and in a good price. He prepared food for two person but charged only for one. a small restaurant and a small supermarket were nearby.
