Very Nice property! Great swimming pool

I cannot rate our stay here highly enough and dont really know where to start. We were so glad we had three nights here and could have stayed longer. Dinusha and his staff were the absolute best. We had so many laughs with them. We got taken to the Dambulla caves and the vegetable and spice markets which was a fantastic day. There is a perfect view of Lion Rock from the balcony. The dinner we had there was delicious but there are also lots of good options a 10 minute walk away down from the side road where Lion See is. The beers were a good price and cold, the pool was immaculate and the rooms were big and clean. I honestly can't find any faults with this place and we were sad to leave. The best hotel so far on our trip. Centrally located, with breakfast overlooking the incredible Lion Rock. Every day we were surprised with a delicious local sweet dish! so good! Clean rooms, with hairdryer and Smart TV. Dinusha was super helpful and arranged a tour for us to Sigiriya and Dambulla with Kumara, whom we 100% recommend. An excellent experience. We would definitely come back!

I stayed in the room next to the main entrance, which is not as good as the rooms on the first floor, with a nice view.

The room is simple but spacious and clean. The location is excellent, just steps from the main street and minutes from Lion Rock. The host is helpful and willing to help with anything you need, including booking transportation to visit tourist attractions or travel from one city to another.

All the staff were so helpful and friendly! They even helped with a lot of my plans even after I had checked out. Very comfortable sleeps too! Would recommend!

The hotel is really well kept and clean. The family room we had on the top was very big and confortable. Breakfast is good as well. The hotel manager is very helpful, he organized several trips for us. The hotel is located in a good position, 5 minutes walking from restaurant. I really suggest it!

The welcome, the amazingly helpful staff, including the manager who helped us with transport bookings, the room, the comfortable beds, the pool, the fabulous breakfast and the location (a few mins walk to lots of restaurants and 20mins walk to Sigiriya Rock entrance). We wish we'd booked to stay longer as it was so relaxing.

We didn't like that our room was on the ground floor next to the office. Did not feel we had any privacy. Were woken up early by cars out the front also chairs scaping on the floor from the dining room above. The manager was very apologetic. I had booked months in advance so I would of thought I would have got a better room on a higher floor Avoid room 1 if possible, ask for a room with a view

This hotel is great value for money. Has only been opened 4 months Rooms are lovely and clean, basic, but good. Great Wi Fi , good aircon and fridge. Really enjoyed our breakfast, fruit juice, omelette, pancakes toast coffee and tea. Lovely pool to cool off in after a busy day. What stands out the most for me is the wonderful Staff they go above and beyond to make your stay more memorable

Excellent in all respects but we assumed we could pay by card as this is what booking.com said but hotel said they couldn’t as they don’t have a card machine. Not the hotels fault, maybe booking.com needs to update their details.

Very good service from the 3 boys working there. We were pleased with breakfast, the bedroom and the location. We asked for dinner last minute and they were nice to make a tasty dinner for us. Thank you once more and we hope to come again with our family and kids.

We spent in hotel only 1 night but if we would stay in Sigiriya longer we would definetly stay here. The second we came, personal were so nice and helpful. Location of hotel is amazing, walk distance to Lion rock and 20 min with tuk tuk to Dambulla caves. The room was spacious, clean, with amazing view. Breakfast in morning was amazing, homemade mix of western and traditional sri lankan dishes with fresh cut fruit. 10/10

Our stay at Lion See Hotel in Sigiriya was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the experience exceeded all expectations. The facilities were top-notch and very well maintained. We especially loved the beautiful pool, which stayed open late into the evening—perfect for a relaxing night swim under the stars. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, fresh, and plentiful, a perfect start to each day. The beach towels were provided free of charge, which was a thoughtful touch, especially after pool time or trips around the area. The real standout, though, was the service. The host was incredibly helpful, fun, and made us feel genuinely welcome. The hotel staff went above and beyond, often anticipating our needs before we even asked. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made us feel at home. The location is ideal too—just a short walk to local bars, restaurants, and the iconic Lion Rock, the main attraction in Sigiriya. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Sigiriya in comfort and style!

The big clean room and the great breakfast, the lovely swimming pool and the amazing view of the lion Rock. And the soursop juice is a must try. Sweet andq sour with aq hit of salty that is great for the wheather. Highly recommend! It is a very new hotel. All the facilities works well. Hot Water! Air conditioning and the pool. The pool is a real angel after a hiking or lion rock or a half day safari. It makes our stay very relexing. You can ask the hotel help on Safari booking which may be a slightly expensive than the street, however they got us a very expensive guide who has been working as a guide 10 yrs. We got to see a lot of elephants, peecocks, birds in just 3 hours. They almost always the first jeep to spot/trecking the elephants that makes us a great spots to get our photos.

All was perfect!

Great brand new hotel with spacious rooms and a nice pool to cool down after climbing up the rocks. The staff is incredibly nice and helpful, they gave us advice on where to eat/drink and arranged transportation at a very reasonable price. The breakfast is excellent, you cannot eat it all. We were served fruits and freshly squeezed fruit juice, then omelette and next pancakes/local specialty halaba. Also, if you go up the road leading to the hotel you’ll see the fields and a nice lake, perfect location when you’d like to get a break from the tourist crowds
