We had an amazing stay at La Grande Villa in Nuwara Eliya! The staff at the reception were incredibly kind and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. Our room was very spacious with a lovely balcony, and the fresh, cool weather of Nuwara Eliya made it even more enjoyable. The breakfast was absolutely wonderful, and the chef there is truly talented – every dish we had was delicious. We also loved that they offered great room service meals, which were just as amazing as the breakfast. Overall, the hospitality, food, and atmosphere were all exceptional. Highly recommended!

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay always smiling and quick to assist. The hotel itself was spotless and well-maintained, with beautiful gardens and relaxing outdoor seating. Breakfast was excellent: freshly prepared, generous portions, and served with care.

Very kind and accommodating staff who were exceptional in helping me see a doctor, get medicine and adapt the food to meet my needs. Great value for money and charming colonial inspired residence with beautiful wooden furniture and large four poster bed. Very large bathroom with jacuzzi.

The room was spectacular. The staff was super nice and helpful. Besides they spoke English perfectly, so it was easy to communicate. There were three types of breakfast to choose from: Continental, Sri Lankan and Indian.

My stay at La Gande Villa was truly amazing. The rooms are super comfortable, cosy and spacious. It’s very centrally located so one can easily walk to many touristy spots from there. Last but not the least, the staff is super cooperative and nice - I caught a bad cold on a rainy evening in Nuwara Eliya and they got me medicines along with comfort food that I asked for. Highly recommended!

The hotel is a piece of art, classic and classy, cosy and full of roses and green areas. The staff are professional and friendly, and you feel home. Walking distance from Victoria Park entrance and downtown. Delicious breakfast and dinner. It's highly recommended 👌 and it's a great place to stay in Nuwara Eliya

The food served for breakfast was great (mainly the egg and French toast) however we expected more local produce like real strawberry jam (from the many locally grown strawberries) instead of the low quality jam seen in most places in Sri Lanka.

The jacuzzi is definitely the highlight of the room. Next to that the architecture is very interesting and feels very authentic.

The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes from Gregory Lake and other local attractions. The team, led by Farhan, was incredibly helpful—arranging tuk-tuks when needed and offering great guidance on things to do in the area. The breakfast is simple but satisfying, and lunch or dinner can also be ordered from the hotel menu. This place is ideal for travelers passing through different towns and looking for a cozy, home-like atmosphere.

Felt it a little unusual that I had to remove my shoes, understandable for the carpets but having to wear old slippers was a little disappointing.. maybe fresh slippers per guest would be advisable.

The bed was so comfy! What a pretty beautiful hotel, staff were sooooooo helpful friendly sweet!
