The shower was not really good, very weak pressure and rather cold water. The room/bathroom could be a bit cleaner as well.

We had a room with a terrace with amazing views of the waterfall, and this is also where the nice breakfast was served (beware of monkeys!). The owners have a tuk tuk and can arrange day trips.

The most amazing views, worth the steep steps up to the property (but this is completely manageable). Takes about 10/15 mins to walk into town but there is a handy shortcut, tuktuk back was never an issue. Breakfasts were delicious and shower was always warm, owners were super friendly. Rooms were basic but did the job

We loved our stay. Only negative is that the rooms felt a bit stuffy and humid but we were able to sleep with the windows open as we had mosquito nets.

The views from our balcony were incredible. The breakfast was also amazing and the hosts were so incredibly kind and welcoming. Although out of the centre of Ella we really enjoyed the tranquility away from the business.

Nothing really - The room could do with an extra blanket or something as it can get a bit cold, but I asked for one and they gave me so that’s fine. There is also not really any storage for clothes and stuff but it’s not a huge issue as most people don’t stay for loads of nights in Ella.

Lovely stay- the room is spacious and clean, bed huge and warm shower. Lovely breakfast which you have bought to you on your balcony with a great view. a 20 walk from the town down steps, or a quick drive (their father is so so lovely, and is a tuk tuk driver and will do much better price then the people in town so get the number for that for any trips you need.) It’s also much nicer being out of town also as it’s more quiet and you get the good view!! Adorable MONKEYS outside my balcony all day

Not really a dislike because you get used to them but the stairs up to the accommodation. Small price to pay for the scenery.

The view was amazing. The room was very clean and the bed really comfortable. The family who run the place were so lovely and couldn’t do enough to help. Breakfast 10/10 all fresh and the avocados are grown at the accommodation.

We stayed one night and really liked it. The views are amazing, the room lovingly put together, a great bathroom and a really nice breakfast. Away from the somewhat busy and a little polluted centre of Ella, yet walking distance. Don't expect a luxury accommodation with everything perfect...there are building works going on around it. But if you like a bit of a more authentic stay and great value for money,I mean it is £19 for a family room, this is your place!

Lots of steps to climb to get there (unless you have a scooter then you can go around the hill and reach the location easier)

Location is on the pretty high hill with a lot of steps and its not possible to reach this house by the car, so pretty difficult with luggages.

Service was good and fast, the hostess made us good dinner, and also packed us some sandwiches for breakfast at 5:00 AM, because we had to leave so early. Everything was clean and tidy.

Lovely and kind owners. When we arrived they welcomed us with tea. And when we had to leave (really early in the morning, around 6am) they also provided us a little breakfast and tea. The location is a little bit further away from the center, so you have to get Tuk Tuks or rent a scooter, if you don’t want to walk 25 minutes. But since you know it before booking, that was fine for us - you will be rewarded with an amazing view and a clean, spacious room! You can even see the ravana waterfall from there!

Steep steps before arriving to the room..but the view is 100% worthy!

The stay was so good the we decided to prolong it. Nothing else to stay! Great view, amazing breakfast , super Host! If you want to have a real Sri Lanka experience, this is the right place! Have a dinner there and you will have the chance to learn how to prepare Sri Lanka food for the most sweet lady!

To reach the house and the room there are around 40 steep steps..better if you are in good shape!

Stunning view, amazing hosts and great breakfast! 5 mins by Tuk tuk from the Main Street in Ella where all the restaurants and shops are located. A great point to start all your experiences while in Ella. The host and the entire family are a gem and I highly recommend a dinner there! You can ask to cook with the mum and learn the real Sri Lanka cuisine! Room clean , hot water and comfortable bed. Do not expect anything luxury but a REAL experience!

The room felt quite luxurious to me for the price. Most comfortable and big bed, shiny clean, big bathroom with actually Working warm water, terrace with an amazing View. You get your breakfast on the terrace and they also offer any Service to be confortable for decent prices: Laundry, tuktuk, meals … For my time There I didnt feel like traveling on a budget. Also the area is super quiet, but keep in Mind that its steep uphill to get There
