You can really feel how much care has gone into creating a calm and welcoming space. One of the highlights was the breakfast each morning — it was absolutely delicious, freshly prepared, and different every day. A real treat and such a lovely way to start the day. It’s also in the perfect location — peaceful and quiet, but just a short and easy walk or tuk-tuk ride to the center of Ella with all the cafés, shops, and restaurants. The hosts were so kind and helpful throughout our stay, making sure we had everything we needed. We truly felt looked after and at home. If you're heading to Ella, I couldn’t recommend La Casa Bella more. We’d definitely stay again!

The property is located unbelievably close to the town, if you drive a car you need to call the owner and get you directed around the property to access the driveway. Showers were amazing although it could do with some sort of a shower screen as water would get everywhere but thats how it is in Sri Lanka. Gayan was really helpful and had promptly helped us whenever we needed assistance on something and was very welcoming

We would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone traveling to Ella. The room is very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. And the staff is amazing and so helpful and friendly. Gayan took us to all the hotspots in Ella. We loved it! Also, the location is perfect. Walking distance to the city and close to the train station. Perfect!

Not a negative but a word of warning for those who are less mobile that the accommodation does require you to walk up a hill and some stairs to reach. Our only other preference would be for air conditioning to reduce the humid feel in the room at times.

Had a lovely 4 night stay at this property. The room was clean with a large and tasty breakfast served each morning at a time of our convenience. The owners could not have been more accommodating and were attentive and available to message if we needed anything. They offered advice on things to do and see, showed us where we could get our laundry done, took us up to the monastery that overlooks Ella in his tuktuk as well as dropping us at the station when we were moving on, all of which made for a very enjoyable stay. The room was modern and clean with a fridge, comfortable bed and powerful hot shower.

We had a lovely stay at this family-run hotel. The guys was incredibly kind and genuinely cared about making us feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms were simple but totally fine for the price, and the highlight for us was definitely the breakfast, generous, varied and absolutely delicious. Just a small tip for future travelers: if possible, pack light or travel with a backpack rather than a suitcase, as there’s a bit of an uphill walk to reach the hotel. Overall, a really nice experience.

I had the pleasure of spending one night at this charming accommodation in Ella, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The room was clean and cozy with beautiful views of the surrounding greenery, creating a peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxing. The room had a lot of humidity because it was constantly raining before our visit. It would help to have a mosquito nest at the door in order for the air to be renewed and at the same time keep the bugs away. The air condition has a dry mode which helped a bit.

I was like we were staying inside a little jungle because of the beautiful garden outside the room. I liked that we stayed a little outside of the main city but very close at the same time. The room we stayed was recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable. The staff was great, very polite and happy to assist us at anytime. Breakfast was perfect

The perfect place for a short stay! A spacious and clean room, good facilities and delicious breakfast provided. Good sized outdoor space to enjoy breakfast in a lovely garden. Accommodation was about a 5 - 10 minute walk away from the bars and restaurants. Very easy to arrange transport to the local sights. Pasi helped arrange a tuk tuk to the local monastery and to our next accommodation. Pasi (owner) is very welcoming and attentive. Laundry service available too.

The host was very welcoming and helpful. The best presented breakfast experienced so far in our Sri Lankan travels. Peaceful location a short walk from the main street bars and restaurants.

Tucked away off the main drag of Ella - a lovely and clean room, but needed a blast of Aircon to get rid of the dampness (a common problem given humidity levels in the country). Very kind owner who checked in frequently and was accommodating with leaving luggage until later as well as organising a taxi for me to my next location.

Location away from the main street was very good because it was a lot quieter and yet easy to get to the main eating places as well as walking to Nine Arches Bridge, Little Adam's Peak etc. It was nice to have some outdoor space. The breakfast was amazing! Very pretty to look at and very tasty too. All cooked fresh and brought round from next door. The property was clean modern and well organised. Excellent value for money. The owner was incredibly helpful and kind. I can see that the short cut up to the property could be a challenge for some but we didn't have a problem with this - it added to the charm of the place and it was well lit in the evenings.There is an alternative route anyway.

La Casa Bella is fantastic, the location is great within walking distance from city centre. Very quiet and peaceful. The host was exceptional and the breakfast was the best we had in Sri Lanka.

We had a great time at La Casa bElla. The accommodation is modern and the location is perfect - walking distance to everything but also quiet. Pasi is a very involved host who will make sure that you have every comfort available. He checks in frequently and offers a range of services to make your stay in Ella great. The breakfast is huge and delicious.

No air con in the room, however, there was a fan which worked very well.

The host was exceptional and really made sure we were looked after during our stay. On the day we were due to arrive, he texted us to ensure we had transport from the train station and even met us at the top of the road to carry our luggage in his tuk tuk. In addition to this, he arranged transport for us to our next destination for a very fair price. The cabin was lovely, nice and spacious and lovely attention to detail with decor etc., also, just a 10 minute walk to the town. The breakfast was great and we felt very looked after during our stay.

The region seems to have issues with damp in the rooms. This could be easily remedied with a dehumidifier. At minimum, window and door screens are a necessity. If you have any sort of damp/mold/mildew type allergies, you might want to look elsewhere.

The property is beautiful and the room decor is very well done. The whole area was very clean and well kept. A few minute walk takes you directly to all the restaurants and shopping available in the area. It's also a good distance to walk to the 9 arches bridge and little adams peak. Breakfast was served daily and made to order. The host was kind and accommodating.
