The main thing that I do not like is reconstruction works during all our living. That was very disappointing and irritating. Firstly it was on the first floor (we lived on the 3rd) and we saw the dust from cutting tiles under our balcony. Then it was held in the room above us (till 9 pm) and finally in the next room. I wish the hotel would not accommodate guests during the rooms renovation. However, future guests will be living in newly renovated rooms which is good

Really enjoyed the place. A short walk to the beach, which was absolutely fine, but others may prefer to be overlooking the sea. Not a problem for us as it meant that it was away from all the street noise and traffic, etc.

Lovely place and staff. Huge room on the ground floor overlooking the garden, with large bathroom containing a washing machine (handy!) Also had a kitchenette with fridge and microwave, kettle, etc. Perfect!

The wifi connectivity can be better.

The room was big, the AC was working very well and there was a refrigerator in the room also. The wifi connectivity can be better though. The owner is very good and extremely cooperative. He had arranged a taxi for the airport pickup for a reasonable price. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Initially the lock to our sliding door on ground floor room wouldn't work but it was fixed within 24 hrs. The bedding was changed regularly but there was some staining. Had to ask for a safe. Cash only - which to be fair is detailed at the bottom of the Booking.com listing but I missed it, and should be available in this day and age

Breakfast was just as expected. Fruit smoothie, toast, coffee and scrambled/fried or omelette. Perfectly acceptable. Staff REALLY friendly and helpful Room of good size with fridge; excellent shower.

This is no negative against the property, since they have the best WiFi in the area, but just a general note for other travelers - if you're planning on working during your time in Hikkaduwa, you might want to reconsider, as the WiFI everyone maxes at around 15Mb/sec download and 5MB/sec upload - which is way too slow for intensive tasks like video calls, large downloads etc. But once again, this is just the area - nothing the property can do about this!

The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff went out of their way every single day to make sure we were 100% taken care of and happy throughout our stay. Plus, this place has the best WiFi we found in all of Hikkaduwa.

Neighbours dog makes a lot of noise sometimes. The neighbour doesnt seem to care but as a guest, its impossible not to be disturbed by the barking.

Wonderful staff, Wonderful Sri lankan breakfast with the most delicious flavors. The garden is Beautiful and all the rooms on the upper floors are so stunning. Highly recomend.

Shower floods the whole bathroom floor but they do provide plenty of towels.

Location is fantastic, it's quiet at night but just a two minute walk from a busy road with variety of restaurants, shops, pharmacy etc everything you need. Hikkaduwa Beach is two minutes walk from the property, ten minutes walk is a beach great for surfers. Rooms are large, big windows views are spectacular, watch sunset from the balcony. Local people are very humble and delightful. Really feels like you're in the jungle, you'll see monkeys, lizards, peacocks, also turtles in the nearest part of the beach.

Best place to stay in Hikaduwa. Absolutely great staff and friendly, will help you with any question. Rooms are clean and big with great view from the balcony. Definitely recommended place.

Wifi was patchy at times but sorted out once raised with the owner. Although very nice, breakfast was almost always the same( fresh juice, tost, jam, eggs cooked in different ways, ta/ coffee). One day out of 6, we were offered sri lankan breakfast, but this was quite basic compared with other sri lankan breakfasts we had.

Large, light room, tastefully decorated with excellent facilities. Aircon worked very well and always plenty of hot water. The host was very attentive, always checking on us, and ready to assist with any queries we might have. The accommodation is tucked away from the busy and noisy main street( but minutes away from anything you need),therefore very quiet. We had a wonderful stay.
