A very special place, really peaceful and very comfortable in beautiful surroundings! We loved it and much prefer this to a large hotel, staff all very kind and lovely peaceful pool. Great value compared to other larger places and the fantastic family room is right opposite the pool with a lovely terrace.

A quite retreat into nature. The room was comfy and the view to the lake was great. The best part about the hotel is the outdoor bathroom in the room. Food was great and the hospitality exceeded our expectations. Not to mention that guests are greeted by two friendly fur ball dogs. The location of the hotel is good as its a small drive away from Sigiriya rock.

Friendly, professional and attentive staff who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with stylish decor. The location secluded and relaxed but close enough to local attractions. Loved the breakfast and the Sri Lankan options for dinner.

Unfortunately the food was really disappointing. There wasn’t a single Sri Lankan option for breakfast which is such a shame as we came to Sri Lanka hoping to experience as much traditional food as possible. For dinner, if you’re able to get a car or tuk tuk, it’s easy to find good food just a short drive away so no need to eat in the hotel if you don’t want to.

This is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are stunning and it’s so wonderful to be able to have your own outdoor shower! The beds are incredibly comfortable and the linen is so soft. The staff really attentive and kind.

This was our second stay at Kumbukgaha Villa. The rooms are lovely - we had one overlooking the little lake. Large room, beautifully decorated with a great bed, terrace with comfortable chairs, lovely outside bathroom. The hotel has a lovely relaxed feel and the staff are very kind and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

The water pressure was limited and hot water didn’t work for some.

When we arrived we were bedazzled by the stunning entrance you arrive to at kumbukgaha villa. It’s in a convenient location, only 15 minutes drive from Sigiriya which was great. Having a pool was also an added bonus to cool off from the Sri Lankan heat and humidity.

When driving into the hotel which was down a quite road surounded by paddy fields, we knew we found a gem of a place. The small pond at the front of hotel attracts many birds and its beautiful during sun rise. We loved the villa and the open bathroom concept. The staff were friendly,exceptional in their service and accomdating with our requests. It's lovely to walk around the hotel and the surrounding area. As the hotel is secluded and away from the mian road, we had our meals at the property and it was delicious. The piuctures live really do reflect the actual property. Had an amazing stay.

This was one of our best stays with the villa surrounded by nature and frequent sightings of peacocks and beautiful scenery. Delicious food enjoyed every bite of it ! the rooms were cozy and beautiful and one of the most exceptional parts of this villa was the staff they were very hospitable and kind and made us feel at home all in all this is a very peaceful and beautiful place to spend vacations in we cannot wait to come back here again

Very little but if I was to be super picky our room only had 2 glasses to drink out of when we needed 3 but as soon as we asked for another it was provided instantly.

Amazing location in the middle of nowhere surrounded by paddy fields and forest. So tranquil but close enough to get to Sigiriya within 20 mins and also Minneriya/ Kaudulla for elephant safari. If you like boutique hotels rather than larger main stream hotels this is definitely a place to stay at. Staff super hospitable and accommodative. Food was simple but tasty. Rooms super clean. We had a family suite and it was just like the photos. Wish we had stayed longer :)

The hotel is located near Sigiriya Rock, with beautiful natural scenery. We encountered wild elephants and peacocks on the way. The room exceeded our expectations! It was very comfortable, beautifully designed, in harmony with the natural surroundings, and well integrated with local culture! The restaurant service was also excellent! The waiters were very friendly and always went out of their way to help you. It is highly recommended!

The road to the facility is a sand road with some potholes.

We were made to feel extremely welcome at Kumbukgaha Villa from the first moment we arrived. The rooms were perfectly positioned around a lake that attracted an array of waterbirds. We loved the design of the open sided restaurant area and the outside bathrooms too. Super styling throughout. Four course dinner was good value and delicious. We loved everything about the Villa. Peacocks, giant squirrels. Just perfect.
