If you’d like to travel around, be prepared with own transport or have a trusted driver as sometimes it can be a challenge to get app drivers as high on the mountain. But staff will support with organising drivers if needed

Absolutely stunning place with incredible views, rooms are very spacious with own terrace looking out the mountains. Staff are incredible, they can’t do enough for you - I was the only one staying here and the manager cooked all of my meals to my preference and timings - still shocked he is not the chef! 😅 Also helped organise any transfers and advice in the local area. Peaceful and wonderful experience, I felt like I was at home here, thank you again🙏🏻

Everything was good, difficult to mention something we didnt like. As house is at the top of the hill ( very beatiful), i would say if you have people with limited mobility ( older), then take note of that. But host is always there for help.

As we arrived late, the host himself prepare the food to our liking and it was fantastic, e.g he prepared espcially non spicy food as some of us do not eat that spicy. Breakfast was equally good. He even arranged tuk tuks to pick us up from the train station as it was a little far.

The climb to the house was enjoyable for me, but my parents found it challenging. We had come in a larger vehicle, and it couldn't make it to the parking and we had to hire a Tuk Tuk.

The caretaker/ chef was an amazing host and was available to help whenever possible. He understood any requirements and immediately resolved them to the best of his abilities. Nice location and fantastic views. The stay itself warrants spending a day therein.

It can be a bit tricky to get a car/tuk tuk to collect you from this location. When our hosts organised it for us it went very smoothly.

The views are exquisite , surrounded by a beautiful natural landscape with many wonderful birds. This place is well away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy, an oasis. Staff were very helpful and kind, beds super comfortable, Sri Lankan breakfast delicious. Did I mention the views?

The view, the view and the sounds of nature that come with it, so peacefully calm. The cleanliness was top and the room was spacious. The shower area is wonderfully designed in a european/asian fashion. There we almost no mosquitos which is a really plus point, we got rid of the couples quickly. No negative points, just some reminders. Air-conditioning was available but we didn't need it. There are stairs to go up the mountain from the parking area. However, as you know no pains no gains. To enjoy the beautiful view, we recommend you to make this effort. Also the porter, employee of the hotel, makes it easy to get your bagage from the car up from the parking area or down - he is used to the activity and does not ask for money but you should give him a tip. The view and morning bird chirping is mesmerizing so those hundered or so stairs are worth every. There could be bird, animal or lizard sounds at night, this happened to us once but - we heard a clicking bird soubd - you should be aware that you are sleeping in a kind of a nature reserve, so it should be something you don't experience back home, enjoy this experience and don't think of it as negative. We are so thankful for Mr Vijaykumar's, in charge of guests comfort and services at the premises, for his warm welcome and precious recommendations from a touristic point of view. He also made sure we had all amenities like soaps towels extra. Meeting Vijaykumar was really one of the top things about this stay. A lady with whom we spoke on the phone while checking the booking reservation was also very friendly, polite and helpful in confirming an extra bed for a kid. The breakfast was great, it was a mix of Sri Lankan and European options. We loved the fact that it was made on the spot.

A couple of the friendly dogs decided to bark loudly right on our terrace late at night and we had to shoo them off a couple times. But no big deal. The accommodation is only accessible through a trek up a bunch of stairs to the top of the hill. This was communicated to us as soon as we made the booking, and we managed fine with our backpacks, but it's something to be aware of. Many cars won't drive to where the stairs start (instead stopping at the foot of the short but steep access road), but tuktuks will drive right up to the stairs. Also, don't count on using Uber or Pickme, drivers won't come and it's a waste of time. I'm sure the staff can help secure transportation, or with some patience and luck one can hail rides from tuktuks or cars driving by like we did

Unfortunately, the first night we didn't sleep at all, the owner had a party without warning us. He knew we were getting up early, we were the only guests and he had a party there. Lots of noise, doors slamming. The walls are thin and you can hear a lot of people talking in the room. Horrible. The only nice thing is the location and the view. The next few days it was quiet but it ruined the whole experience for us. There were a lot of ants in the room. We stayed in 7 accommodations on Sri Lanka , including in the forest, and nowhere were there so many insects as here. I think they could pay more attention to cleanliness. There was a lip print on the window to the terrace , it was disgusting…We wondered why everything there was still poorly washed.

It is not something that I did not like, it is something that my driver did not like. To get that great view meant the place is out of city and has a winding high road, the last bit the driver would not go by car, but the guys at the accommodations came and took the luggage. It is not something that I did not like , but something that you should know before going

I just finished 6 weeks traveling in Sri Lanka, and this was my favorite stay of the trip! To wake up to singing birds and the sun rising over the misty mountains - it’s absolute bliss. The rooms are spacious and immaculate: they have a tea kettle and tea/coffee, A/C, a large bathroom, and a private patio with stunning views. There is also a common area for lounging and dining on *delicious* meals made by the chef. Wije is a welcoming manager who will share his expert knowledge on the area and help you arrange a tuk tuk for exploring the many nearby temples. I loved the place so much I wanted to stay extra nights, but they were booked - so the property host helped me find a place to stay in Kandy. I was traveling alone, so I was especially grateful for the extra care that the property staff took to make me feel safe and at ease. Stay here if you’re looking for a break from the city and an immersion into the natural and cultural wonders of the region.

Location is a bit distant, however it was not a problem for us as we opted for a getaway place with a scenery.

Amazing views, off busy town, just beautiful nature around. Room size was great with all necessary amenities, spacious bathroom and AC. Food menu offered with options for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great chef. Staff was very helpful polite and caring.

Big or very big drawback of this property it is very far from Kandy and not easily accessible. One has to climb many stairs to reach to the property.
