Overpriced for what it offers. The facilities are very worn and could be cleaner. It would appear that Mr Paul is trying ( or is expected), to run the place single handed so inevitably the details get neglected a bit. It is impossible for one person to keep on top of room cleaning, providing meals, clearing up after them and greeting guests. Rather than making tea or coffee for guests it would be much better if these were available to help oneself.

Unfortunately my room didn't have a window with a view and the internet connection was quite poor. The hotel is quite a way from the centre of the city on foot and quite a way up a steep hill.

Paul, the on site manager, is a very pleasant helpful, lovely person who I felt would do all in his power to make your stay as good as it could be. I'm sure he would do all he could to facilitate any requests.

Lovely grand guesthouse in a quiet area of Kandy - Mr Paul was extremely friendly and nice to speak with and a great cook, we enjoyed dinner and breakfast here very much. The room was clean and well equipped!

We have problem with hot water in the shower. And we also have two big cockroaches in our room. They come from the hall, because there is a huge space between the door and floor. But all together I can recommend this accomodation.

Paul (who is taking care about the accommodation) is an incredible person. He is very helpful and he gave us lots of important information. He also helped our driver to find the way. You can order a breakfast (European or srilankas style) and the food was really nice. He can make you tea (delicious!) or coffee or he can order the food for you. The accommodation is in a quiet location, quite up to the hill. Sometimes difficult to drive but you have a nice view and fresher air. The rooms very decently equiped to Srí Lanka standard, but you cannon compared to our European standard. There is a spare rooms with tables and sofas so you can spend the time also outside of your room. There are rooms with AC and without it.

No drivers seemed to be able to find it! Up a super steep hill and the WiFi was only available in the common areas not our bedroom .

Set in the hills, it was a lovely location to stay in Kandy for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Paul is an incredible host, made sure we were well looked after and cooked the most delicious breakfasts both Sri Lankan and European. His rice and curry was as good if not better than we’ve eaten out. Don’t come expecting luxury but it’s comfortable enough.

We were welcomed at the property by Mr Paul who made us a refreshing fruit juice. We were happy with our room, which was spacious with a balcony and view. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was particularly good with hot water. Mr Paul often wanted to know our plans so that he could give us advice, which was helpful. The property was a good location, you could take a shortcut down some steps to get to the main road, where a bus to Kandy city centre took 5/10 minutes. We also walked this a couple of times and it only took 25 minutes. Mr Paul made us a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast each morning at a time that suited us. There was also a refillable drinking water station we could use. The accommodation was basic and not immaculate, but just what we needed as we were out exploring the city most of the time.

It was a present stay. Rooms have considerable amount of space and has nice mountain views. Staff was very friendly, specially Mr. Paul. You can always ask for assistance from the staff and they are ready to provide what you need. Very close to Kandy City Center and all attractions in the city.

Pricy for this location. It is 3km from the city centre, on the hill. Nowhere to eat around the place, the grocery store also a bit far. Still you can use a tuktuk/delivery. Not possible to cook, just to order food. It wasn't good for me, as i went out early. Also bad loundry. Roaches and bugs in the room...

The room didn't had tv, little parking space, the road was little steep and can't help since it's Kandy 😆 Thought there is a nice view from the room, but nothing much except houses.

Very helpful host and nice big room. Mr.Paul even prepared meal for our kids. Very kind gentleman he is. Close to city center and tasty food. Had hot water even during powercut.

None of the TVs in the rooms were working, Our hot water did not work properly and the bathrooms were slightly unclean. WiFi only worked in the lobby... If NOT for the attentive nature of Mr. Paul this rating would have been a solid 5.

What was really fabulous about the place was the LONE staff Mr. Paul. He was attentive, helpful, energetic and was a superhuman one man show doing everything from receiving guests, preparing meals, cleaning, billing, etc. Poor show by management to not have any help for him. Place was clean, comfy beds, beautiful views.

There were several factors that made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The room was comfortable, spacious, and surprisingly quiet. In addition, the hotel manager, Mr. Paul, was incredibly kind and helpful. For the price you pay it’s a pleasant stay for the facilities that are offered. Please be aware this property is out of the way and at the top of a really steep hill.

Paul was really friendly and really helpful with any questions we had. The shower was warm although we did find that the water run out by the end of the second shower.
