My stay there was truly amazing the Hostel owner is a really chilled guy and the whole atmosphere is just really welcoming and familiar Nice people, good food and well located Also the place is huge and the area for the morning Yoga is absolutly beautiful!

Good location, clean with good facilities. The owner and his brother make extra effort to ensure your stay is comfortable and that there is a friendly vibe in the hostel.

Relatively expensive for Sri Lanka, but worth the cost.

Staff were really friendly, beds were very comfortable, clean and spacious dorms, short walk to the beach, nice social area, also the food from their restaurant is delicious

Location is great and the staff is absolutely amazing. Food serve is delicious also! Rooms are spacious and beds really comfy. Also the place is very big and you have a lot of places to hang out and socialize but without forcing it. The vibe in general is great!

I ended up in a particularly messy room with people staying there long term and over NYE so the room and bathroom were not properly cleaned, but I think it was more of an exception. I would add some curtains to the beds for privacy though if possible.

Hummus hostel is amazing! The location is great, the beach is just across the road, the beach where you can swim with huge turtles is just couples minutes walking, lots of shops and cafes around. The guys in the hostel are super nice and kind and provide with all the necessary information. The rooms are cozy and clean and fresh. The bed is comfortable with snow white bed linen. What does a traveller need? Just a home away from home. And Hummus hostel is exactly like this

Owners hospitaity was awesome and the Palestinian breakfast menu was great!

Good location. We stayed in the low season so a litle less guests and still nice vibe. Big thanks to the owner who was realy nice with all recomendations and also lended us a bike :)

Nothing realy :) Maybe ta the wifi didnt work as good as we hoped but we didnt realy need it and the bathroom has a strong perfume inside.

best hostel in hikkaduwa :) our private room was big, super clean and comfortable, I had the best shower in sri lanka, with hot water!! the hostel is also big and has many spaces to chill, do yoga, playing games (they have an amazing beerpong ;)) you will never be bored! there’s also a restaurant and a salon downstairs, I dif my hair there and I couldn’t be happier with the result!! also oday, the owner, is just amazing🫶🏼 he is so welcoming and friendly, we really spend a good time with him! also, he recommended us the best places in hikkaduwa and nearby, so thanks to him we had delicious meals, saw the best sunsets and visited the best places in the city, I strongly recommend this hostel :) we’ll come back for sure!

Everything was great, good welcome, good stay, nice location, close to great restaurants and shops. The staff gave nice recommendations,… it was low season so there weren’t a lot of people.

Lovely owners, the food is delicious. I went in off season so it wasn’t very busy but I could tell it was a nice environment! I would recommend!

Pros: We stayed in a private room and the bed was really comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were really friendly and the location was central.

Cons: We were hoping for morning yoga, which was one of the reasons we booked this hostel but unfortunately the receptionist advised us they don’t offer this anymore. We also happened to come in a quiet spell as we hardly saw any other travellers and therefore it wasn’t a very social hostel.

The dorms are super clean and extremely comfy. It's on the main road and has access to everything one needs. The food option in the hostel is limited but definitely tasty.

It was clean, air conditioning worked well, and it was walking distance from the beaches I wanted to visit.

It’s right by the main road, so it can get noisy when cars are driving by, but you don’t hear this noise from the rooms luckily.

The place was very clean, and everyone was astonishingly friendly. My boyfriend was sick, and they went above and beyond to make us/him feel comfortable. A really nice place we would recommend again. One of the best stays in Sri Lanka! It's just about 20min walk to Sigiriya, but you can also take a cheap tuktuk. Both are nice options:-)
