We had a 1 night stay. Room was spacious, shower was good, linen was clean and large bed was comfortable, we asked for 2 extra pillows which were happily provided. Staff friendly and helpful, we needed some help with a taxi to Ella so this was much appreciated. Location is good, we wished we had stayed a second night to explore the town area more, beautiful lake and botanical gardens close by.

Areas of the room were grubby like the sink and toothbrush holder, we didn’t use. Windows and carpet were not good either in terms cleanliness. Reception and first impressions were very poor, looked like a well used hostel rather than a hotel. We booked a deluxe room and as the bed and shower were good, it’s all we really needed for 1 night. We paid £30 for room only and our review would be higher if the cleanliness was addressed.

Good location n value for money

The location is good, right in the middle of town. The room facilities are OK too.

All the rooms open into a kitchen area that would easily seat 30 people, making it extremely noisy. There were a big family staying there when we did and they partied until after 1am. The manager wasn't able to get them to be quiet! Consequently we didn't get much sleep. The call to prayer was at 6am too.

We stayed for 1 night. The room is spacious, beds comfy. Yes the carpet has seen better days, but it didn‘t bother us. Hot shower is a plus for the cold climate. The location is excellent.

There is only one parking space in the front. Or paid parking oposite.

Good location, bed was really comfortable, shower was good.

Bathroom was filthy, toiletries hadn’t been refreshed (no toilet paper and shower gel half used). Coffee cups hadn’t been cleaned.

Everything was ok. The staff very kindly and helpful. It's a good place if the carpet in the room more clean.

The carpet of the room looks like need to wash, it's already full dirty.

Good location and modern bathroom.

We had to ask to switch rooms initially as the bed sheets were not clean and it appeared as though the room had not been hoovered / cleaned properly. The new room was slightly better but the sheets still had stains on. Also it was very noisy from outside as the windows are thin and we also experienced bad weather during our stay which meant it was very cold, I do believe you can hire heaters though and there was an extra blanket in the wardrobes.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. Overall it's a good place to stay.

The hot water pressure could be better.

The location was good and the room had everything we needed, also the bathroom was surprisingly nice!

Whole room was quite dirty and dated, the sheets had stains(we let it slide), one of the lamps didn’t work and the carpet was very old. As I am reading the other reviews I figured there has been some renovations done but it was a very sloppy painting job so most of the stuff had paint splashes on it. The reviews said that the wifi was very nice, which was a BIG lie, it didn’t load anything and was completely useless.

It was clean and modern

The sounds of the city and the songs from the temples was very loud and early in the morning (6am).

Situated just opposite to bus station hence very excellent for people looking to stay near city center.(So the price is slightly higher). The manager gave me the option to see and choose the 1 I like among the available rooms.🙂 I see few bad reviews regarding cleanliness however the room I got was superb clean except for floor carpet which looked little soiled. Hot water available throughout the day. Overall if you prefer a decent hotel with all amenities within 2 mins reach, this certainly is 1 of the good option.

Currently the property is under renovation, so things are not clean and organized. It will take another month or so before it' will be ready to accept guests.

The rooms are spacious and it's waking distance to center of town. The bathrooms are updated and have lovely hot showers

At the time it was under renovation and this should have been stated during booking. The smell of paint and dust wasn't welcoming. There were no hangers in the wardrobe. The windows were left open on a cold day because of paint fumes but to hire a heater for the room they charge extra. The extra charges for blankets towels etc is a bit much.

Cozy and warm place. Newly renovated which is a bonus. The location is superb in the city center in Nuwara Eilya just next to the historical post office and the bus station near by the shops and markets. The staff is attentive and helpful making you feel welcome from the moment you step in. Highly recommend!
