We had a wonderful vacation for 3 weeks with a family of 6. We had two rooms. Sarath is a very kind and helpful person. During our stay, he bought a new fridge and a washing machine for vacationers. There was a kitchen with dishes, cooker and oven. Sarath provided very good breakfasts with local cuisine. He held a master class on cooking national dishes. I asked where it was better to buy food, he took me to the store, told me where and what was best to buy. He also took us to a deer park, helped rent a minibus with a driver at a good price. He constantly helped with useful advice during the vacation, it was interesting to talk to him.

United Kingdomsmall thing to adjust might be the wall plugs, some were not properly fixed. We also had an issue with the access to the kitchen, but it was due to other guest rather than an issue due to the facility.
Very welcoming host and very helpful! He was very welcoming, always offering us coffee in the morning and he helped us with changing the dates of our stay as we had to cut the stay in trincomalee short. The room was very spacious with a very nice bathroom. we also used the laundry service and it was eccelent.

RussiaA calm and quiet place. Very hospitable owner. In general, everything is great. We stayed at Home Stay Resort for the second time and will come again. We are a family with a child and there is everything for a comfortable long-term stay - spacious rooms with air conditioning, a kitchen with everything you need for those who cook themselves. A large store is within walking distance. You can always contact the owner on any issue, rent a bike, buy train tickets or find out where the most delicious samosa is.

GermanyWe’re a young couple from germany and stayed here for four nights and had a great time here. This was the most amazing host! He helped us with renting a scooter, gave us a ride to the beach and above all drove us the full 5 hours down to arugam bay which was our next destination. He was always there and did everything for us and we are beyond thankful for the experience we had in trinco. The room was clean, comfortable and provided everything we needed. We love the host and we will definitely be back!

Because the place is in the middle part of town, either the beach area in Uppeveli, or the south part of the city, near Dutch Beach, are both accessible within 10 minutes by tuktuk.

GermanyI loved my stay at this Home Stay! The owner really made it feel like a true home! The room was spacious and clean and I loved the wooden features. At any time I had a request, the owner was there to help. He served me a delicious breakfast and for dinner he made me the best chicken curry I ever had. The portions were very big but I paid less than at the restaurants. On my last day, he drove me to the train station for free and because I had booked a wrong train he talked to the cashier for me and even paid for me to change my ticket. This man truly doesn’t care about the money but only about ensuring that every guest has the best possible experience in Trincomalee. I highly recommend this place! Just be aware that it is a 20min walk to the beach and the nicer beaches are a bit further, but it’s very easy to go by tuktuk or maybe ask the friendly owner for a lift ☺️

United KingdomQuite remote, will need to make good use of Uber or 'Pick Me' application (local Uber). My advice would be to hire a motorbike if capable, I found a hire place within a short walk using Google maps.Was I was offered help with a number of things, but none of them were fulfilled. Requested help finding a bike which was offered, but then never mentioned again. Asked about laundry which was offered by the owner, but was both collected and returned later than promised and still wet. All of my 'clean' clothes then stank which I was stuck with for a while due to travelling. The owner woke me up by knocking on my door, despite having my number. It was to offer code which was nice, but I would have preferred to not be woken. The water from the sink went straight onto the shower floor and gathered there, which meant paddling in anything that had gone down the sink, shaven facial hair in my case.

One of the standout features was the flexibility with meals; we were able to request both dinner and breakfast, and the food was simply superb... exceptional hospitality. What really impressed us was the trust and ease of our departure. There was no need for a formal check-out process, which added to the overall relaxed vibe of our stay. We will definitely be coming back for another visit. Highly recommended!

The owner was awesome, he came to pick up us from the bus stop by car. The man was really friendly, we booked the room but it was not available but he provided the cabana for the same price. Hospitality is really awesome and the room is much more comfortable. It is close to town. I can strongly recommend it to anyone.

Staff so friendly and helpful. The second night the room was very good. The owners wife cooked me a fabulous meal. They reduced the cost for the problems incurred.

PolandI got a different room from the one I booked, and wasn't informed about that. The owner said the room I booked needed maintenance only when I confronted him. The room was filthy, animals excrements all over it. Funny area.
