They have two rooms with very good quality and a very nice garden. This family is generous and welcoming to all guests. You can get an amazing view of the Lion Rock surrounded by nature. Highly recommended for your stay in Sigiriya.

We loved our stay! The family is always there to help if needed and very responsive, also beforehand. But you can always have your time alone on the nice veranda. We really felt like it was our place for the days we spent there. The room is spacious and clean, the veranda is amazing and protected from sun and rain. The family prepared a different breakfast every day, it was amazing! Within 5 minutes walking you can reach various great restaurants. We would always choose this place again!

The place was clean and cozy, not far from the main attractions. The breakfast was very good. We saw monkeys on the trees Just in front of the house. The owner was very nice and he even helped us to plan our day and provided a driver for a good price.

It met all our expectations; the place is managed efficiently.

Excellent budget friendly accommodation set beside a beautiful paddy field overlooking Sigirya Rock, which is a 5 min drive away. Our hosts were very friendly and amenable; happy to organise transport and give advice on local eateries. Room was a decent size, clean and comfortable with a few great additions such as kettle/tea and hairdryer. We ate fruit, hoppers and rotis on the terrace for breakfast and enjoyed relaxing on the hammocks after a day's sightseeing!

Amazing homestay experience. The view from the property was really good, we could see the Lion rock right from the property. A lovely homemade breakfast was served. One of the best stays during my Sri Lankan vacation.

Family are really kind and helpful, mum and son make sure everything is good. Breakfast is really tasty and the street has lights along the way. Quiet place and 10 mins walk to main road but you can get food on the same street.

He is a kind-hearted young man with big dreams, studying to become an electrical engineer, and we truly enjoyed our time with him. One of our most cherished memories was walking around the lake with him, having a wonderful chat, and learning more about local life. Kavindu also organized an unforgettable safari for us, which was simply breathtaking. The wildlife, the scenery, and the overall experience were beyond words. He also arranged a village tour that gave us a true taste of authentic Sri Lankan culture. We took a peaceful bullock cart ride through the jungle, enjoyed a boat trip on the lake, and participated in a traditional cooking class led by two incredible local women. The food was delicious, and the entire experience felt so genuine and special. We are beyond grateful for the love, hospitality, and care we received from this wonderful family. If you’re looking for an authentic local stay while supporting a small family-run business, we highly recommend Sigiriya Hillside View Villa. Everything! It was cozy, equipped with everything you Need. Peaceful, clean and chilled location. The owners were very kind, helpful and hospitable, they kept checking on us even though we were barely staying for one night. The food was lovely, simple and exceptional. It’s way more worth than the price they charge. Worth the money. It’s a must stay if you are looking for a getaway with serenity.
