Very kind host

Room was nice, staff was very kind and gave us a fridge from another room. Beautiful view on the Ella rock. Location was 2 min walk from the main street.

Kitchen was not very clean. You can hear some noise at night from the bars in the main street.

The host / caretaker are helpful , nice and friendly , the location is in downtown near to the popular landmarks , the room is clean and we got a nice view . I will recommend this place 100 percent !

I like everything about the place

Really excellent location, super nice rooms and extremely clean. Only a very short walk into the main stretch of town. Helpful and friendly staff.

The room was very spacious and clean, beds were comfortable, there were fans and mosquito nets. I loved the Terrasse with the beautiful view and the hosts were super helpful and friendly. Restaurants, bars and supermarkets were in walking distance. Very nice place overall

Perfect location for ella. Walkable to downtown

Very clean and comfortable, a perfect homestay, especially considering the cheap price. Its close to the the centrum of Ella which is nice.

Good value for money. Family room was huge for two people.. Breakfast.was large. View of Ella Rock from balcony great. Room is up many stairs, on a hill. Loved all the windows and natural light in room.

On walking distance of centrum. Helpful owner.

Shower is too low for people above 170 cm.

Good location as just away from the busier centre. Really kind and welcoming host. Nice to stay with a family.

Relatively small room - not much floor space around the bed.

We loved staying here - my son and I. The room was spacious for two adults that weren't a couple, and everything worked fine, including the shower with warm water. Beds were comfortable. The location was great - just a bit away from noisy night-life places but a really short walking distance to all the action. We loved the breakfast and the big upstairs patio with a view where we would meet other guests in the morning and enjoy the sunrise. The uphill walk to the property is much less than others I have stayed at in Ella - and no need for a flash light at night - which I only say due to other reviews. Very friendly and helpful staff (family) and their dogs - Rosie was our favourite.

The only things I can think of is having is investing in less scratchy towels and that the WiFi while good, is not top notch compared to similar properties in Sri Lanka

beautiful view, away from the hustle and bustle

Good location and views. It's close to town but far enough to offer some quite nights sleep, as some bars play loud music until early morning. Good and plentiful breakfast taken on our terrace. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

This was not a problem for us at all, but the last 50 metres walk upto the property from town is steep, so a consideration for those with mobility issues; a Tuktuk ride is easy way to solve this.

Centrally located but quiet. We ordered breakfast each morning which was delicious and plentiful! The pictures of the room and were view were accurate representations. Sajith and family were so warm and welcoming.

This homestay is a 5 minute walk to the center of Ella (on a steep hill). The owners are very welcoming and helpful. They also have two very lovely dogs. The room was spacious and very clean, with a seating area outside that has a great view of Ella rock

The room was quite hot and the fan was not very powerful.

Location and price were good. The sky view at night is gorgeous. There are mosquito nets over beds.

Rooms require some maintenance. The window at the bathroom was super ugly and not useful at all. The breakfast was a bit expensive and not tasty for us.

Nothing. It was super pleasant. Although the music from some pubs reached the room. But that’s a bit the same for all places around here

Welcome Homestay is a great place to stay whilst in Ella. Really good location, only a very short walk to the main restaurants and shops, but very quiet. The hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. If it's hot, and you fancy a swim, ask them about the secret swimming spot!
