Hikers holiday home is located on top of a hill overlooking the city. It was clean, with a lot of space, and comfortable beds. The host, Eranga, was extremely kind and helpful and we cannot thank him enough for his friendly service. He picked us up from the train station in Nanu Oya with a tuktuk, took us to a nearby waterfall, and also came to pick us up multiple times when we went to the city centre. When we arrived the family served us some very nice tea and cookies and gave us breakfast in the morning even though it wasn't even included in the price. Unfortunately, we were very unlucky with the weather so the place wasn't as pretty as it probably is when there is not so many clouds and mist and you can actually enjoy the views. It was quite cold, also in the house, but the family gave us really warm blankets that were perfect for the cold night.

We had a wonderful stay here. The property is lovely and the views are incredible. The hosts are absolutely fantastic! Eranga in particular was amazing - he picked us up from the train even though we arrived late at night, brought us snacks, tea and breakfast and took us out on a tour all day of various sites around Nuwara Eliya. He was so kind and really made the stay special. We also met his dad who was so friendly and it was wonderful to learn more about Sri Lankan life from them. Would absolutely recommend staying here to anybody!!!

We really liked the natural surroundings. The son of the family, who helped us with everything, made getting to the city center effortless, even though we were on a mountain. He helped us in every way possible, brought us snacks for breakfast, and took us around the city in his tuk-tuk. We highly recommend it if you're looking to experience the culture up close. The house is very well-equipped and has everything you need to fully enjoy your stay.

    Nothing. Everything is perfect.

The charming house of Eranga is located in a beautiful garden and on the edge of a tea plantation. The views from the garden and the living room are tremendous; the location is truly stunning. You can enjoy the surrounding landscape while sitting on the comfortable sofa in the living room, having a cup of tea. You walk to town through a beautiful path that leads through the tea plantation. The house is a little gem, but what really stands out are the people that built it. Eranga and his parents live right next door and we can honestly say that they are the kindest people we met in whole Sri Lanka. They are simply the best! Eranga picked us up several times with his Tuk-Tuk, showed us around town, brought us tea, pancakes and snacks, organized drivers for us and even accompanied us on a hike (a beautiful day!), all out of honest kindness. If you want to know what Sri Lankan hospitality looks like, you simply have to come to this place! We learnt a lot about life in Sri Lanka from talking to Eranga and his dad. Don’t forget to visit the shop of Eranga’s mum near the lake for some tea and some fried potatos, delicious! And don’t get scared off by the stairs leading to the house, they are really not that bad!

We had a lovely stay in Nanuoya! The host was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The view from the accommodation was absolutely stunning, overlooking the mountains, a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of the area. Just a note for future guests: the property is accessible by a steep set of stairs, so it may not be suitable for older travelers or anyone with mobility issues. Other than that, everything was great and we really enjoyed our time there!

The accommodation has a beautiful view in the middle of a tea plantation. The owner also grows many beautiful flowers and fruit bushes around the house. It's a stunning environment. The house is well-equipped and very clean. The owners are the nicest people in all of Sri Lanka, and they also have the sweetest dog. Every day, they prepared black tea and cookies for us, arranged a great driver from the station and also to Kandy, and in the evening, a tuk-tuk took us back from the city center to the accommodation. Since the accommodation is not accessible by car, the owner kindly helped us with our luggage. They also let us taste fruit they had grown, recommended a great restaurant, and allowed us to stay at the accommodation even after check-out. They were truly wonderful.

A wonderful location, and the view of the tea plantations was amazing! The staff was hospitable and caring. The house warms up well during the day, so at night, we were comfortable under the blankets. We were welcomed and later taken to the station by tuk-tuk. I definitely recommend this place and would love to stay here again if I have the chance! Thank you!

The homestay was located in the mountains with great views and super quiet surroundings. Rooms were clean and comfortable, but what really made the stay was the son. He was super helpful and picked us up and dropped us off wherever and whenever we needed. He also provided coffee, snacks and a light breakfast. Very friendly and kind. Would definitely recommend it if you’re in the area!

    Nothing, it was all great.

The hosts were amazing, such lovely people. Went out of their way for us, gave us breakfast when it wasn't even included in the price, and took us into town in their tuktuk for new years eve, and picked us up! Couldn't ask for better hosts. The home was super clean and comfortable, and so quiet- got our first sleep in since we arrived in SL 3 weeks ago 😄.. Awesome views too. Bit of a steep walk down to the place but nothing too strenuous. Would absolutely stay again.

The house is surronded by beautiful tea fields and the views from the house are amazing. The owner, Ravindra, is friendly and kind and he taught us many things about tea and his plants. His son came with his tuk tuk to pick us up in the bus station. He’s very attentive and kind. We went with him to visit temples, tea factories, waterfalls… he showed us the most beautiful landscapes of Nuwara Eliya. Thanks for hosting us, we had a great time with you!
