Beautiful clean room. Friendly staff. Delicious breakfast. Splendid view of Kandy lake and Tooth temple from restaurant balcony. Easy to walk to center and lake. Loved watching monkeys prancing about on adjacent rooftops.

I stayed at Highest View Resort and, true to its name, the view from the property is really beautiful. Be prepared to climb some stairs to get there — it’s definitely worth it if you don’t mind the climb, as the scenery makes up for it. The breakfast was good and satisfying, and the host was absolutely lovely, making the stay warm and welcoming. One small improvement I’d suggest is fixing the bathroom door, but that’s just a minor issue compared to the overall experience. I would recommend this place, especially for those who enjoy a peaceful stay with stunning views.

The young gentleman was incredibly friendly with excellent English. He did everything to make your stay comfortable. He even kindly arranged a very early breakfast for me before catching the train.

I suggest if we had a TV in the Room it would be fantastic.

Room was clean, though it's small everything was in order. Location was good almost very close to the lake. Owner was polite and know how to speak to the customer properly. Overall good 😊

Noise from neighbouring hotel which is outwith managers control

The room was very comfortable..we were on the lower floor so some noise from neighbouring hotel and no view..upper floors I am sure would be better. Excellent breakfast served on 3rd floor with a view. Good bathroom and hot shower. Owner very attentive as were breakfast staff. Easy to walk to centre of Kandy..

There is a hotel or a restaurant next to this which had the music or karaoke until 00:30 am at very high volume. It was a Monday and I guess we were just unlucky but we couldn't rest much that night as the crows were also next to the window at 5 am to wake us up.

The staff was very welcome and helpful all the time. The breakfast with the great view was also amazing. We had some monkeys going down the valley next to our window which was really nice to see with the sunrise.

Smell from drain in the bathroom

Clean and comfy room. Nice and friendly staff. Really tasty breakfast. To get to hotel you need to climb a hill it takes 10min, but we didn’t mind. It is close to the lake and city center.

Nothing as far as the accommodation is concerned, it would be our first choice when staying in Kandy, but two small observations: 1. It is close to Hillwood College so you might get woken up by their tannoy system during school term with their Westminster chime school lesson bell at 07:30 followed at 07:55 by their school song. We found it charming rather than annoying. 2. There is a restaurant opposite that other reviews have commented about regarding loud music, but in our 9 days there, the noise went off by 2130, perhaps we were lucky

We booked for 4 nights, but it was so good we stayed for 9 nights and will return! We had a balcony view which has a pretty good view of the palace complex, see photo from balcony. What we particularly liked: + comfy beds and good air conditioning + excellent and large breakfast + great staff, very attentive and responsive + within walking distance of Kandy center and palace complex + room servicing very good + very quiet area, away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy center There is a great pizza restaurant 50 meters away!

It’s really up hill, so keep it in mind.

Good hotel to stay in Kandy. The breakfast is very good also. You can ask the host about ideas what to do in Kandy as well. The hotel is really close to the Kandy lake and to the Temple of the Tooth.

Everything was great!

First we received s room with very bad smoking smell, but then they changed it to third floor just next to the breakfast room, it was a very nice, modern and clean room with amazing view to the Kandy lake. The staff was amazing helping us with all issues - dance performance, tuk-tuk, drinks, everything. The breakfast was veeeery tasty with fresh juices. Close are two very good restaurants - No name restaurant for sri lankan food and Vigo for pizza or just having a drink. We had amazing stay.

The door locks need to be upgraded as they tend to have older keys, which take some time to open and are a risk in emergency situations. The room needs a TV mounted on the wall for the price we paid. A mini bar fridge is a need in the room given the multiple floors in the building. The shower head is too small and needs an upsize. They should have a card paying system. Breakfast needs some meat options like halal sausages or minced meat kheema for breakfast.

Very friendly staff and homely feeling. Hope to be back again in the near future, and we recommend this place for anyone who would like to stay in a peaceful environment

The AC was set to 25 and I guess it can't be changed. I tried many times. But that ain't much of a problem. Manageable.

I'm really impressed by the service, the staff, cleanliness everything is exceptional. I really didn't expect this much, it's more than enough. Breakfast was fantastic. Most importantly I loved how the staffs took care of me. The room was awesome with a good view. Had tea, water and other stuffs as well.

The room was clean and tidy although it was a bit small.but altogether very good.had a good breakfast and it is close to Kandy viewpoint i have to mention the staffs especially Mr Sarath was very kind and attentive to us.. They accept card payments also which is convenient
