Very quiet environment and comfortable room out of the crowdy Ella I truly enjoyed my stay (and the beautiful dog :) Everything was prepared with a lot of care. Amazing breakfast and wonderful host! Definitely recommend for solo traveler, couple or family!

Good location in green area outside of the tourist circus in central Ella. Well equipped apartment, very clean, huge terrace. Super friendly and helpful owners. Huge kids loving dog😀 Definitely recommend this place.

As a family, we want to encourage everyone with kids (and without) to go here. Wonderful accommodation in the heart of the beautiful mountain jungle -- without being uncomfortable -- and truly the kindest people we have met in Sri Lanka: they even watched over our kids and provided them with water and toys to play with so that we could work out. What is more, they really do so because they love their profession and are passionate; there is no commercial impetus whatsoever. Their dog is a true child lover too! Our two kids, aged 2 and 4, would have loved to stay longer here, and so would we. They have a very nice and kind driver (Assi) available too for trips more far away.

Beautiful place run by great people. You get the jungle feeling but with the comfort from home. Within 10 minutes you are at the main street in Ella where you can go out to eat. From the balcony you can see a waterfall. And there are many other great waterfalls and viewpoints nearby. The breakfast is really good and if you need some extra help with anything, they will help you gladly.

Chancy and her family were very welcoming- especially as we stayed during their special festival time. They shared festival food and traditions with us. Amazing breakfast fusing western needs with Sri Lankan favourites. Chandy’s husband was readily available to drop us into town and you can arrange for a pick up at the bottom of waterfall road for your arrival if needed. Our driver in a Mazda bongo it make it but it is a narrow road. Handy location for the walk to the waterfall and Ella Rock. The tea on arrival was very welcome for us brits!

We had a super great stay, chandy and her husband were super nice and helpful. They prepared a very tasty breakfast for us, which we were able to enjoy with a beautiful view of the mountains.

I just recommend using a tuk-tuk for transportation from the center of Ella to the accommodation, as the road is too narrow for a car. You can arrange this directly with the hosts, who will come pick you up with a tuk-tuk.

Lovely accommodation in the midst of beautiful nature. The room was spacious, beautifully furnished. The terrace seating was wonderful. Very good, rich breakfast. The hosts were very kind people, they arranged tuk-tuk transportation to the center of Ella for us. It's a shame we couldn't stay longer than one night, it's worth staying longer. At first, we thought it was a disadvantage that the accommodation was further from the center of Ella. However, in the end, it turned out to be an advantage, as the peace and beautiful nature were worth it.

One of the most scenic place i stayed. I wish i could stay more. Beautiful place with all the required amenities. The view from the outside is breathtaking, you can see mountains, waterfalls and various birds. Ms. Chandy is a superhost, she served us great breakfast, helped us with directions and even arranged tuktuk.

Perfect silent location in otherwise loud city. Extremely nice owners. Help with luggage using their tuktuk. An apartment is in a bit remote location, which was very nice for us as we were looking for silence. Perfect stay in the jungle environment. Delicious breakfast. Will definately come back.

The road from Ella centre was steep, narrow and bumpy and for European standards maybe a bit dangerous. But managable, so just as a heads up.

Private and clean homestay, most wonderful terrace with a view to jungle and waterfall I have ever had anywhere! It was unforgetable to enjoy breakfast outdoors watching birds and monkeys and listening the waterfall. Shandy and her husband were great hosts and always available for help and great tips for sightseeing. Nothing was too much trouble, they even went to town to get a new tyre for our rental tuktuk and changed it. Lovely on-site dog 😊. Superb value for money, would go back anytime!

We had a really nice stay at Chanty’s lovely home stay. The room and bathroom was really big and clean. We had a lovely terrace from which we could see different animals during our nice breakfast. Chanty made sure that everything is alright, we even got a tuk tuk ride to the railway station. Nice and tranquil surrounding comes with a 20 minute walk into town. She even arranged a scooter rental for a fair price. We would definitely come back.

This homestay is a hidden gem! Nestled in the Ella jungle, it’s the perfect peaceful retreat. The host Chandy was incredibly warm and attentive, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. Best coconut pancakes!! Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying coffee surrounded by lush greenery was unforgettable. The homestay was cozy, clean, and beautifully in tune with its surroundings. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene getaway with a personal touch!

It was hard for our driver to get to the homestay especially in the rain. When we left Chandy’s husband took us in his tuk tuk to the main road.

The location was in the middle of the most beautiful greenery. Chaney tried very hard to please us. The room was nice and the outside sitting area was fabulous! Breakfast was tasty and served with a smile.

This place is absolutely fantastic! The location is very nice with view over both Little Adam’s peak and a waterfalll! The host Chandy is amazing! She is so helpful, flexible and try to do all the best for you. Her husband took us around with the tuk tuk. The room is very nice and comfortable! The breakfast was also very good with lots of fresh fruit! The atmosphere in this place is simply magic with lots of birds and monkeys just outside the terrace! We give this place our best recommendations!!

The WiFi wasn’t great but you absolutely don’t need it, there’s so much to do in Ella!

We absolutely loved our time staying with Chandy and her family. The homestay is in such a beautiful location, we loved overlooking the gardens watching the birds in the morning. The breakfast was the best breakfast we have had during our stay in Sri Lanka, she makes the best coconut pancakes! She is a woman of many talents, helping us with laundry, local knowledge of trips and guides, and we loved our massages with her. She has her own room in the home stay next door which is beautiful! The beds were super comfy and the bathroom was big and spacious. We really wished we had booked more nights and would recommend her place to anyone!
