There was a lot of mould on the ceiling of the bedroom and the bathroom was a bit dirty

The bathroom was not as clean as one would like.

The bed was super comfortable, the location wasn’t too far from the town, but just far enough to escape the noise. We had such a wonderful day exploring with Sujee who works alongside the hostel and offers tours!

The rooms are much older than it looks on the photos. Wifi connection was bad - in the room or in the shared facilities.

The location is great with nice view on the lake. Breakfast was tasty with different kind of fruits. The room was clean. The staff especially Mr. Kapil was great,we had amazing and fun evening.

I had an issue with the Uber driver and asked for help from staff of the hostel. However he helped the Uber driver in an attempt to scam my money by saying 4000 rupees isn’t enough to cover the trip that I was requesting. Then asked me many questions such as why did I want to make such a trip.

The hostel had a really nice view and was a very homely layout. Location was good, bit of a walk from the centre but nicer to be by the lake. The breakfast was nice. Suj who worked at the hostel and ran our cycle tour was amazing, would defo recommend. He was very accommodating and kind and we learned a lot from him!

The hosts could have been more friendly and helpful in providing recommendations about what to do in the area.

The hostel felt more like a guesthouse, it was quiet and relaxing, and had a homey vibe. The location is also great, facing Gregory Lake just in front of the property.

Loved it a lot, beautiful big room and clean bathroom. I think there was a little bit of mould or water damage on the private room roof but it looked like it had been treated ? Lovely staff. Very accommodating.

The bathroom was not clean enough, there was hair in the drainage, they could maintain the place a bit, I felt like curtains were not washed in months and the ceiling has black spots, it’s not much to do to make it nicer

I really liked the bed, the sheets and the vibe, very nice place, cute common area for food and hanging out, nice courtyard and the dog. It’s nice they have breakfast and dinner options, was good food but I felt not very big portions. We asked for extra rotti for the dinner and they gave us :)

There is nothing as such that I did not like. For the price I paid, I think my expectations were met. However, since I do have some experience in this department, here are a few suggestions that won't cost much but will add value to the already amazing stay people will have: 1. More bathroom amenities 2. Menus from restaurants around the place

The breakfast was really amazing and very well presented, the location is great and the views are beautiful. The best part about the stay was the staff. Dilshad and Sabesh (apologies, if the names are spelt incorrectly) were really helpful and would really like to give them both a shoutout.

The location is the major plus point in this hostel. Easy to get tuk tuk from here. And Gregory lake is just a few mins walk. Very friendly hosts and Kapil took me to a few offbeat places around Nuwara Eliya without charge. Breakfast was a good spread. Unlimited coffee and tea throughout the day. The rooms were comfortable and we were only 3 staying in a dorm of 6 which was a good change. The thick blankets were a life saver in the cold nights.

Lovely little property right by the lake, you can just step out and walk. We went with our puppy which they were lovely about. Nice and helpful owners, very friendly. The place has a lovely vibe, you can meet other travelers. We stayed in the king private room it was very comfortable, the duvet kept us warm at night when it was cold.

Note it is a 44min walk to the town centre, also not the most social hostel but comfortable for a night or two.

Nice and peaceful, staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Appreciated the thick duvet as it gets a bit cold in the evening.

A really clean, lovely hostel/hotel! The Manager & staff were so friendly, helpful, & kind. Really yummy food, and great value for money all round. The hostel is located in a lovely area (just off the lake) and it’s an easy, flat walk into Nuwara Eliyah. The common area is nice for socialising with other travellers, and equipped with cards + monopoly.
