The water floods the bathroom when you shower. No handtowels, and the bath mats weren’t very absorbent.

The view is incredible! And they serve a great breakfast every morning, so you get to look at the mountains whilst you have your morning coffee. The room was spacious enough and had air conditioning. It’s a walk up a hill to get to the accomm from town - no issue for us, but if you have mobility issues be mindful. Can always get a tuk tuk though.

The room itself, especially the bathroom and the bedlinen seemed to be old. Some small extra care would make this a perfect accommodation.

The room had a kettle and cups, but no spoons, tea, coffee etc. Be aware that the only way to get to the property is either on foot or via tuk tuk, the hill leading to the property is too steep for guides vans.

The views from this property were just breathtaking! It's exactly as it looks in the photo. The location of the property is also very close to Ella town centre as well. The family provided us with a lovely breakfast on the balcony. Rooms were basic but they did for what we needed. Beds were comfortable.

Be ready, that its not possible to come directly to the hotel gate by big car. You will need to walk on narrow path around 600 - 800 m from the street.

Nothing! There is a little hill you have to walk upon before entering the hotel. It was no problem for us but may be a problem for other people.

The only downside was the price — €30 per night felt a bit expensive for Sri Lanka, though it’s understandable given that Ella is a popular tourist destination. Also, the iron provided didn’t really do the job.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The location is great, and the staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. They gave us the option to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which was very convenient. Since we arrived early, they let us leave our bags while they finished preparing the room, and when we were leaving, they even offered a free ride to the town center. We also asked to iron some clothes — although the iron didn’t work very well, the staff kindly offered to help by ironing the items themselves. The room was clean, in great condition, and had a large fan that worked quite well — even though there was no air conditioning, the temperature was comfortable.

The room was clean. View from the room was great! They provide breakfast on the table infront of your room from where you can enjoy the view. Loved everything. At first there was no drinking water inside the room and I had to ask for that. Have not asked about the toiletries, so dont know if they have forgotten it or they don't provide anything.

The room we stayed in at the back was a bit dated, but it wasn’t a problem at all for just one night. The rooms in the front seemed to be better. The hotel actually offered to change our room, but we had to leave early the next morning.

The hill you have to walk, but it's something about 20 meters, so you can get it.

Spacious room, with comfortable beds. There is a wonderful view from the terrace, and breakfast served with such a view tastes even better. The owners were nice and helpful. Good location, close to shops and restaurants, but you have to walk up a steeply sloped hill

I liked everything

This place is an absolute dream. Incredibly stunning view from the terrace and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The room was spotless, with air conditioning, hot water, and all the comforts you could want. Breakfast tasty and varied. The location is perfect too, just a short walk to the center and nearby restaurants. The hosts are incredibly kind, smiling, and always ready to help with anything you need. I honestly didn’t want to leave. The best place I’ve stayed in Sri Lanka

The shower was not as clean as we expected, but still it was ok.

The beds were super comfortable, the view was unreal and the hosts were really kind and helpful. They even took our bags to the train station without charging any extras. The accommodation is right in the middle of the city, making it easy to find places to eat and supermarkets around.
