It is located directly on the road and so not as scenic or quiet as I would have imagined. Later on in the evening the cars stopped passing so it was a peaceful nights sleep.

Great communication with indications to easily find the house. Comfortable room and nice living room to socialise with other guests. Nice walks nearby.

It's a bit cold and humid but from our experience it's pretty much the same in all Nuwara Eliya, just prepare for it :)

The family that hosted us is very kind, welcoming and solution oriented. I accidentally booked a room with the shared bathroom (my bad not theirs), and they proposed a quick and good solution. You can count on them for any problem. Also, we recommend having dinner as it was very tasty and reasonably priced. If you have a chance, book a cooking class (which we haven't attended unfortunately, but it would have been great to learn to cook food we had for dinner).

I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya with family. The staff are exceptionally friendly and always willing to help, making you feel truly at home from the moment you arrive. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

The plus of this accomodation is the owner and is family: the best we have ever met. Great dinner and breakfast, lovely person and you just fell like home. The room is ok, maybe old and with some muld spot on the wall but this will not affect your stay at all. One of the best accomodation ever.

It was a little cold, however, I appreciated the two thick blankets in the room and Nuwara Eliya is known for its cold climate. Come prepared with layers; yes, even a beanie!

Wonderful stay at Green Villa! Located just 3.5 km from Nuwara Eliya, with easy bus access to town thanks to the stop right in front. The room was spotless, and the view of the tea plantation from the window was stunning. Perfect spot to unwind. The family was incredibly welcoming, generous, and attentive - they even surprised me with a full thermos of hot water when I asked for a glass! Highly recommend this gem!

We stayed at Green Villa in Nuwara Eliya for 2 nights with our family, and it was a truly heartwarming experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed with a smile, a cup of tea, and a friendly chat that instantly made us feel at home. The room was clean and comfortable, perfectly suited for the price, and the location was peaceful with a lovely natural vibe. What truly stood out was the food – absolutely outstanding! Some of the vegetables used in the meals were freshly grown in their own garden, which made the dishes even more special. It was honestly one of the best meals we had during our trip. A special mention goes to the lovely uncle and aunty who run the place. They treated us not just as guests, but like part of their own family. Their kindness, hospitality, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. Next time we visit Nuwara Eliya, we’d definitely love to stay at Green Villa again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and delicious home-style meals in a peaceful setting.

I went to this place by accident. Anyway, I think I got the right decision. Because the lodging felt like home. The staff was so hospitable and friendly. And a clean and cool spot. Everything was fully arranged. every single detail was notified for better understanding. The attractive thing is a family doing the lovely business. But they charge a full fair price. They focus on service rather than money It's hard for me not to recommend this place.

A wonderful place with a stunning view overlooking tea plantations and a towering mountain shrouded in mist, accompanied by the melodic sound of rain. What makes the place even more beautiful is the kindness and warm hospitality of the family who owns the hostel.

Water pressure is very slow and I didn't use the bathroom. And mainly the breakfast not available this property.

Location is nice don't need to spend the money for tuk tuk.
