Perfect location, close to main street, and peaceful location. Very helpful host and delicious breakfast. Excellent cooking class right next door. Basic but great value for money. Just be aware that the steps into accommodation are very rustic but manageable.

It is in a lovely secluded location just 10 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle in the centre of the town. The breakfast is unbelievable and very generous. The bed was very comfortable. The hosts are very nice and warm.

The access up to the house was steep and would be a challenge to some people. Steps are large and the path is in need of repair.

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The balcony where breakfast was served was an added bonus. We sat outside in the evening and enjoyed the garden view. Very peaceful! The owner was very helpful arranging a tuktuk for us to go to the tea factory and temple. He had a wealth of knowledge and his English was excellent! Breakfast was wonderful!

Didn’t really feel like you could sit quietly as staff constantly hovering and asking you questions, which can be a bit exhausting when you’ve been travelling for a long time.

Nice little property with a good breakfast and clean, bright and spacious room. Well located in Ella. We stayed only one night as we arrived in Ella early and already had another property booked, but would have happily stayed for more. Very reasonably priced.

Feels like you're staying in the forest. Very friendly and helpful owner. Big breakfast, although it draws the attention of a local cat and monkeys. High humidity proved a challenge, especially with bathroom layout. One of the few places I stayed with fridge in room.

We recently stayed at Green Lantern in Ella, and it was fantastic. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with anything we needed. The location is perfect—nestled in nature, providing a peaceful atmosphere, yet just a 10-15 minute walk to the town center. Our cabin was spotless, and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka, and they customized it to our preferences. We highly recommend Green Lantern for a memorable stay in Ella.

Really a small detail, but some other light in the room apart from the main light (like a bedside table light) would have been nice.

The location was quiet but still an easy walk from the center. The host was really friendly and helpful, communication went well and very important for me, the breakfast was excellent! Every day there was omelets and toast, fruits (the essentials for me) and fresh fruit juice. Then there were a different selection of (very tasty!) sweets and other things like coconut roti. Really perfect! And if you wanted more of anything (which was not really needed) that was also no problem :) Also the beds were supportive the rooms were not warm, so I didn't miss aircon and actually had my best nights of sleep here of my entire trip.

It is a super quiet and lovely place, a walking distance (few min) from the centre of Ella. The owner was super helpful and helped us with many things, such as laundry, massage, taxi to the beach! Last but not least the best breakfasts we had in the whole country!

If you have large suitcases it is a challenge getting these up as the car can only go part of the way and there are steps up to the property. Make sure you contact the property before you arrive.

Thusara was an amazing host. Our rooms were clean and comfortable - just as we expected from the listing. The location is in the jungle but only a short walk (5mins) to the main road and restaurants. Breakfast was epic. As a family (Mum, Dad and two adult children) we all agreed that our stay here was a highlight of our time in Sri Lanka!
