Reviews of Hotel Green Garden

My experience at this Hotel Green Garden was fantastic . Staff was so welcoming and seemed genuinely trustworthy .which i really appreciated . The room and the hotel in general were very clean and comfortable ,and it was a pleasure to relex there ..food was very good . I'd definitely stay here again .

Room was little dark ...need little powerfully ligth 💡 .

Although a bit worn out, the rooms and bathrooms are very nice and spacious with good airco. The surrounding garden is beautiful and very well maintained, with a pleasant swimming pool. Good breakfast buffet with choice of Sri Lankan and continental options. Although the room is not very attractive, the restaurant serves very good food, some of the best we had during our stay in Sri Lanka!

From 4pm to 22pm there's loud music at the terrace by the swimming pool that can be heard at the entire property. They try to create a beach party ambiance, but there's not really an audience for it. Anyway, it made us not stay for the barbecue they offer.

The swimming pool was quite large and enjoyable. Trincomalee beach is great.

Clearly a place that could have been amazing, if maintenance was done, and true commitment was there. The rooms were outdated, not the cleanest, and bedsheets were not clean. The true nature of the place was shown within 5min: ‘if you cancel your booking.com reservation, you get a discount’: clearly focusing on making money vs. Serving customer.

The location was very convenient, and breakfast was great. Rooms were clean and spacious. Very helpful staff. We stayed for one night on our way through Trinco.

The exterior hasn't been maintained, and the black water ponds at the entrance to the rooms can put you off. But inside, everything is clean. And we had to pay for water when our bottle in the room was over.

Hotel is near uppavili beach. The food from the restaurant is very good. Highly recommend recommend the kottu roti and the curries.

The rooms are really tired and could really use a update. The staff didn't stock the room with toiletries or towels. The rooms are also quite small. Overall needs a lot more maintenance and upkeep.

Bathrooms are awful. No TP, no other amenities. Had to ask. At one point shower floor got flooded. Hate when bathroom floor is wet other than inside the shower. Painting on the walls were coming off. Not clean. If you a budget traveler this is the place. I am not a budget traveler, but I was unable to book 8 rooms for almost 20 people in one place. This one had good reviews, so I went for it. I am really not sure what other people saw in this place. This place is not for me. If the hotel can upgrade the bathroom, paint walls and completely clean the floors and water ponds around the rooms, it could be a nice place. One good thing about is, staff was accommodating.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was also very good. There was a wide selection of food. The room was nice and spacious, too.

The location is probably a bit far from the beach, but it was easy to get there. Also, the room was a bit dusty and needed cleaning..

Amazing Greeny Place

We booked the hotel because of the pool and free bikes , the pool was nice but nearly all bikes had flat tires, thankfully there were 2 that were ok. Very green property. Staff was friendly

Hotel garden is beautiful and matches the name of the hotel. Rooms and toilets were clean. Breakfast was ok.

A private party was held at the hotel premises and was noisy till late at night.

The counter staff were very helpful as were the ground and bar staff. The pool area and manicured gardens are spectacular. Breakfast was limited for the asking price.

Breakfast was very limited and could be improved with some on the spot cooking (eggs) not barley warm.

The stuff was super friendly and accommodative. Fulfilled all my requirements without failing. 10/10 Value for money.

Only one small thing would have been great if they added a towel in the washroom.
