Everything got wet when you showered, but this isn't much of a problem as it dries out quite quick. Just leave the floor mat/towel outside the door. There was building work being done but it was all hidden away.

The rooms were extremely clean and tidy and were a great size. The staff are excellent and an extremely attentive. The hotel is located within a 10 minute walk to secret and Mirissa beach. The rooftop pool is an amazing place to chill out in the afternoon and watch the sunset in the evening.

We really enjoyed our 8 days at The Emerald Bay. The staff were friendly, polite, welcoming and attentive. The rooms were big, bright and clean, and the location was ideal with respect to access to both Mirissa Beach and the ironically named Secret Beach. Breakfasts were very enjoyable, even if the team could do well to invest in a new toaster.

The hotel is basic, worse than the picture but the staff is exceptional. The pool was closed. Part of the door at the balcony fell, they fixed it but then I barely managed to open the balcony again. Compared to all the hostels around it’s the only normal hotel, chose it just because I needed something for a night over in Mirissa. It’s Ok for one night but wouldn’t come back for sure. The breakfast was good. Finally somewhere where they make good eggs.

No usable bar, but again why would there be when you have so many within walking distance! Breakfast was pretty disappointing, but again there are so many cafes within walking distance you don’t really need it!

Great Location, out the way of the noisy hotels and busy beaches, but close enough to walk to!! Roof top swimming pool!

A nice, like-new hotel with spacious and very comfortable rooms. Everything was clean, and the bed was simply the best ever. The staff was very helpful, fulfilling all our requests and assisting with transportation and sightseeing. The breakfast was diverse, with a great selection of fresh fruits. The location is rather quiet, right at the harbor with a beautiful view of the marina, yet all the essentials (beaches, restaurants, shops) are within walking distance. We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and would highly recommend it to others.

The accommodation is not directly onto the beach front, its about 10 mins walk to the Marissa beach and about 25 mins walk or 5 mins by Tuk-Tuk to the Secret beach. There is no lift currently but I understand that they are proposing to install a lift shortly which would be a great help.

Our room was excellent, clean and spacious with a great sea view. All the staff were very friendly. It was within easy walking distance to two lovely beaches and it was perfect for walking to the whale watching boats.

Location was really good, room was comfortable. The staff was super kind and helpful. They were ready to help for everything. Even they dried our motorcycle seats. All of them were super helpful and kind. They cleaned our room and changed our towels everyday. The breakfast was also delicious and enough. I recommend this place.

We got charged some 40dollars extra from the original booking.com price due to tourist tax and some other charges. It would be great to have the final price displayed already on booking.com when finalising the booking to avoid unpleast surprises.

Emerald Bay is a nice hotel in Mirissa. It is very close to the Secret Beach and some 15min walking to the Mirissa beach. Room was clean and pretty big and breakfast had some nice choices of international and Sri Lankan food. They gave us beach towels which was vert much appreciated!
