This is a truly magical place that's exceptional value. Waking up to see the beautiful sunrise in your own little cabin is such a wonderful experience. We stayed with our 2 children (ages 5 and 7) and we all loved it. It is not in the heart of Ella which we loved as you have beautiful views and away from all the backpackers and noise of Ella. There are some lovely restaurants within walking distance as well as a shop and walk to a beautiful waterfall. Transport was easily arranged. Breakfast was delicious and served on your balcony. Thank you so much to the wonderful family that took care of us.

Host was reliable and communicated well. He was happy to pick us up in his van and transport us to the cottage. Stunning views and lovely nighttime sounds. Beds were comfy and the bathroom acceptable. Though only in Ella for one night, we enjoyed the accommodation and breakfast that was provided. Many thanks to our host and his extended family who supported with bagged handling and meals.

The room is very clean and comfortable. And the view on the balcony is very nice. We can see the sunrise from our beds. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they prepared us a great breakfast with the local food and fresh fruit.

I recently stayed at Ella Bamboo Tree Cottage and it was truly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The place is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. a perfect escape into nature. The view from the cottage was stunning, and the whole atmosphere was so calm and relaxing. What made it even more special was the people who manage the place. They were incredibly friendly, kind, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. Their service was top-notch and they always made sure we were comfortable. The cottage itself was super clean, cozy and very well maintained. You can really see how much care the owners have put into every little detail. The bed was comfy, the bathroom was spotless and everything we needed was there. Breakfast was a real highlight. So many delicious options to choose from. Every meal was fresh, beautifully served, and full of flavor. We looked forward to it every morning. I highly recommend Ella Bamboo Tree Cottage to anyone looking for a perfect stay in Ella. You’ll get privacy, comfort, amazing views, the best food, and the kindest service. I would definitely come back again.

Liked everything. This is a new property in the surrounding hills of Ella. For us it was perfect, so relaxing and tranquil. The hosts are a the most kind and caring family and they really look after you. It was sad for us to say goodbye to them. The property is above their house - they prepare a plentiful and tasty breakfast for you each day and for us no two days were the same. Sampling a Sri Lankan breakfast made by local people is a real treat. They bring it to your balcony each morning where you can enjoy the amazing views of the stunning surroundings. The cottage itself is spacious with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Getting to Ella is easy too - the hosts will arrange transport for you at preferential rates.

Really great experience. The room was very clean and cosy, there was a balcony with incredible views over Ella! The breakfast was amazing, lots of different Sri Lankan foods to try and more than enough food! The hosts were lovely, very friendly and happy to help in any way. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful cottage with nice facilities and great (sunrise) views. Comfy bed and beanbags to hang out on the terrace. The hosting family was very caring, the breakfast very rich and delicious. Highly recommended!

One of the most beautiful places on our vacation. the house is beautifully finished. Room is very clean. The balcony has a beautiful view and you can see a beautiful sunrise. The host is very kind and helpful. We had a big and rich breakfast. The hotel is only 10 minutes from the city. We enjoyed our stay very much.
