Such a beautiful place with such nice people! Away from the hustle and bustle, you can look directly into the greenery from the terrace.Only a 5-minute walk from the train station and a 10-minute walk to the town center. There were five of us with three children in the family room, which was perfect. The breakfast is formidable with fresh fruit from their own garden and much more. My son and my husband had a birthday during our stay and received a cake from the host couple. Super nice! The host organized a great tour to a waterfall and drove us to our next destination. Everyone is very, very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back! A clear recommendation!

A bit hard to find at first, it's a hidden oasis that offers good accommodation in a beautiful setting. It's in a good location, 10 minutes walk to the centre of Ella, far enough to get away from the night time party noise. The breakfast was amazing, worth the extra money, with home made marmalade, pancakes, eggs, avocados, fruits, homemade juice and lots of other things.

The road going in is very narrow, no sign boards for drivers to locate it. Would recommend improving those aspects.

The staff were really friendly, helpful. The room was pretty comfortable, able to fit 6 pax with the bed arrangements. We even managed to ask for an additional mattress free of charge because a friend of mine was on the bigger side. The room had a separate toilet and bath which made it more convenient for all of us to get ready. Hot water was nice and plenty of drinking water in the room. They had a super cute golden retriever, very friendly and playful.

Great room for the family, Wasantha and his wife were very friendly and knowledgable. They made breakfast for us early when we needed to leave for a tour. We had a continental and Sri Lankan breakfast, both were delicious!!

A fridge in the room as we are travelling with a toddler this would help. Steps down to the guest house fine for us but maybe not those with decreased mobility

This family run guest house felt like home with the warmth from the hosts. The location is perfect, 5 mins walk from station and town. We did this easily with our toddler despite the rain. Well priced. We didn’t have breakfast here but it looked great and most others did. The host also kindly dropped us into town during the rain.

Rooms potentially need a bit of updating in terms of decor but it was charming nonetheless, especially for the price!

We were only in Ella for one night, but this was the perfect place to stop over before our 10-hour train to Colombo. We were greeted with tea and spent the afternoon relaxing in the hammocks outside, surrounded by lush green landscape – it was gorgeous. Villa Eden Paradise is a family-run place in a prime location for exploring Ella, and we couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful stay.

Nice large family room. Clean with hot shower. It’s a short walk to the bars, shops and restaurants of Ella but far enough away to be nice and quiet. The family running the guest house were very friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Would have loved to have stayed another night or two and would definitely stay here again.

The shower did not have hot water but this was not a problem for us as the temperature was warm. Be aware there are steps leading from the road to the guesthouse which may not be suitable for people with mobility problems.

Very peaceful and relaxing place a short walk from the bustle of the main street. I was so glad I booked here and not on the main street, which is noisy and unpleasant. Large, comfortable room and bathroom; spotlessly clean. Mosquito nets provided, comfortable beds, fridge and kettle in room. Kind host who made us feel very welcome.

Slightly damp smell in the rooms and towels etc a little musty, but to be expected given the humidity and rainfall at the time if our visit.

Set amid beautiful gardens and well away from the noise of the Main Street in the village. Easy walk to train station and a slightly longer walk to nine arch bridge along the railway track which was great fun ( plenty of stall along the way selling drinks etc) . Owners very helpful, spoke excellent English and gave us helpful information. Nice little veranda with recliners and a hammock outside the room.

The hosts were amazing, the gentleman went above and beyond to help us get to the stay - really late notice. The villa was beautiful with a lot of garden around, it was like a mini jungle. It is about a 5 minute walk in to downtown and about a 5-10minute walk up to the train station. Very clean and comfortable. Drinking water available as well.

Center is easy reachable by foot or a tuk tuk is never far away. Very friendly and helpful staff, they helped us with trips and driver for our next destination. Breakfast was nice too. Very good location, close to the railway station and to the city centre. Walking distance from key attractions. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, they offer some extras such as cooking classes, day trips, laundry, scooter rental etc. Our room was clean and comfortable, there are nice hammocks in the garden.
