I am a diver so I didn’t spend much time in the accommodation, basically just the night them. The location is right on the beach, the yard is facing the beach. Anytime you want to enter the beach, you can do that. The yard is cute, green grass and beach chairs. The host are very helpful making breakfast for me everyday. I need to dive very early in the morning and I would need that breakfast probably earlier than other guest and it wasn’t a problem.

Nice guesthouse near the city center. The room was large and clean, with a very comfortable bed. What I liked most about the guesthouse was its position right on the beach (the nicest and cleanest in Trincomalee, in my opinion.) Umbrellas and loungers were provided.

Overall area could be a bit more cleaned up. The room for my dad don’t even have a window and it was tucked inside of a dining room and kitchen. Almost felt like it we had to walk through someone’s home to get to the room. The staff also seemed to be living in that space or at least it felt that way as there was a back living space where they were hanging out. Also they could use a better breakfast option as it was not good.

Very beautiful location, we liked Dutch Bay beach, it’s a bit more quiet and there are still some nice places to eat around. The hotel is right on the beach front, with a little private garden and sun beds. Our hostess Dilu made us feel very much at home. The room was comfortable and good value for money.

The property is lovely, right on the beach. Very calm! Must stay if you’re in trincomalee. The host, Dillu, was very warm and served good breakfast!

Could be a bit cleaner.

Far from the touristic part of Trincomalee, but located on private beautiful and clean beach. They provide beach chairs and umbrella for their guests. Big room with A/C and shower with hot water, which was something not common for this place of Sri Lanka.

Not much, but subject to what you want, the best beach and modern facilities is 4 miles up the coast in Uppuveli. Locally, there really isn't much to shout about, but this is unrelated to the property.

This was literally a last minute booking, after we walked out of the Maya Resort hotel without checking in, because it was overpriced and truly awful. The location is on the beach and the room was very spacious. The breakfast was delicious and one of the best we ate.

This is a very nice hotel by a beautiful and clean beach. The rooms are modern and clean. The manager is a very nice person. He helped us with all our needs. Dilu prepared very delicious breakfasts. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this place.

If you’re looking to stay in the more touristic area of trincomalee with more shops and restaurants, it’s about a 15 min drive from the hotel.

Loved the location, right by a beautiful beach with almost no people. The hotel has their own sunbeds and umbrellas, which was amazing. Perfect if you’re looking for a less touristic place to stay. Dilu was amazing, she made us breakfast, did our laundry and was always there to help. Nice room with good air conditioning.

Nothing, everything was perfect 👌

Dutch villa is located in a quiet part of Trincomalee with basically the whole of Dutch Bay beach at your disposal. The room was very spacious with a large double bed. The room had A/C which worked perfectly along with the ceiling fan. Walking out onto the balcony provided an amazing seaside vista to watch the sunrise. Dilw, our host was amazing, always available to answer any queries that we had, provided us with clean towels and prepared breakfast for us every morning which she would bring up to your room. Due to the heat, we opted to eat in the kitchen as Dilw prepared the food, always great to chat with the host and share stories. Dutch Villa is great, ideally positioned and has an amazing host in Dilw. 👌🙏🙏

Noise. outside (inside the hotel it self and outside the hotel) noise is high

cleanness and the location. I picked up this hotel as I stayed for 3 nights for a diving course, which was just a few buildings away from the hotel. The beach is next to this, easy access. The manager is extremely helpful for me. The caretaker and the food is also good.

We had an amazing stay at Dutch Villa Trinco! The location is great —right on the beach, straight onto golden sands and the ocean. This place is located only a short walk from the town center, walkable distance to key tourist attractions being the temples, the bus and train stations along with a number of restaurants. It is also right next to the Dutch Bay public beach, full of locals and familes enjoying their evenings in Trinco. Also they organise a lot from the accommodation itself including boat trips to see dolphins, whales and pigeon island so there is no need to pre-book and pricing is very reasonable. The room was inviting and comfortable, with air conditioning and hot water that worked perfectly. The tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking beach view made for a wonderfully relaxing experience. It’s the perfect place to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of Trincomalee. Kroos and Dilu, the hosts, really looked after us. My wife wasn't feeling well so Dilu walked us down to a local doctor and regularly checked in to see how she was doing. Kroos helped organise our transportation for our next location and made sure we were paying the right prices. They also picked up coconuts for us to drink while doing their own shopping during the day which was really nice. They, along with their family members run this accommodation so as you can imagine, it gets really busy so the fact they can go above and beyond, is just incredible. Trincomalee is developing for tourism. This part of the area in particular is in the early stages but if you're looking for a stay which also supports the locals, really do recommend this place. The price for a room is also incredible for everything you're getting!
