Hosts are very nice and helpful! I felt like at the hotel: the room was spotless, spacious and comfortable (large bed with good mattress and pillows, mosquito net and a fan) with a nice private balcony to enjoy breakfast watching the surrounding nature ; the bathroom has hot water and all the necessary toiletries. Bonus: mini fridge, kettle and tea. The location make it easy to go to the main road walking, while being a bit down the road to avoid the noise. Very good value for money! I really enjoyed my stay :)

I recommend to buy the new white towels because the ones in the place are so old and not white anymore. Breakfast was served cold.

Incredible setting away from the main road in the soothing noise and wildlife of the jungle. Lovely terrace overlooking the jungle with massive room and bathroom. Great to have a fridge to store water and fresh fruit. Very quiet and super friendly staff who were accommodating and very helpful to sort transport for our next destination and recommend local activities. Thank you so much - wee had a great time!

This was the best accomadation I have had during my time in Sri Lanka. The host and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. But the highlight of this place is the view! Waking up in the morning and looking at the jungle is amazing. Breakfast will be served on the own balcony, with the same nice view. The bathroom is also very big and clean. Compared to other accomadations in Ella, this is high above the standard.

Perfect! They serve a great breakfast (you can pick between different options) on your balcony directly, and they can even provide it super early which is convenient ! The owner is very nice and the room is super confortable, especially the bathroom which is big and clean. The place is close to restaurants (5-10mins walking) but not too close from the main road which is super noisy so it's a great location. Would recommend !

Before booking you have to know that there is no road for a car to go straight to the hotel. You can either walk or go by tuk tuk, it’s around 500 meters from the main the road. It was not a problem for us as they arranged a tuk tuk to pick us up from the main road.

The room was clean and nice with a big balcony. The host met us and was very welcoming and polite. The place is on the hill so you can enjoy a nice view from the bed. We enjoyed this place.

Budget guest house run by the grandparents, the bedroom and bathroom was spacious, jungle views from the terrace with a family of monkeys nearby. The grandson is the resident tuk tuk driver, but prices fluctuate, If you struggle with mobility, it's probably not the place for you 36 steep steps to the room, it's a trek to get to the main road, very narrow and very hilly track that only tuk tuks can navigate, getting a tuk tuk back to the guest house was a problem during the day and evening, the driver's didn't want to navigate the difficult track.

Cozy modern home stay with a beautiful view of the mountains. The bedroom is large and has a comfortable bed, the bathroom is also large and has a very nice shower with hot water. Location is good, a short walk from the main area of town. The staff is incredibly kind, helping you with anything you need and making tasty breakfast.

A bit diffucult for the tired traveller was that between 5-6am there was a chanting from the nearby monastery. It was interesting for 1 day stay but could be tiring in the long run.

It was clean, spatious, had a beautiful view and a delicious breakfast. It's a place where you can comfortably rest during a long trip. We liked it so we tried booking the room for one extra night but unfortunately it was taken.

Although it was only 10 minutes walk to Ella Main Street, it involves a few steep climbs on very narrow country road. And internet connection was intermittent at best.

I stayed at Duet Hearts in Feb 2025. The host was one of the kindest persons I’ve met. The room was spacious and clean. The best: a breath-taking view of the valley, especially during dawn and dusk. Sitting on the patio looking over the valley was my favorite thing to do while at Duet Hearts.

Very friendly and helpful host. Room had everything we needed. Good size and best shower we've had so far, just like at home. Great breakfast on the balcony served at time of our choosing. Comfortable bed, good night's sleep. Five/ten minutes stroll to town. Tuktuk should cost around 300.

More towels would have been good as we only had 1 each. We were only staying 1 night, which wasn't a problem, but maybe provide a hand towel in future.

Duet hearts is very close to the centre, however it is in a wooded area, with no street lights which is fine during the day but at night you're relying on tuk tuks to get you around. The room was immaculate and it is decorated beautifully, the staff were really helpful and the breakfast on the terrace is a nice touch.

Large spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom, hot shower, and a well equipped room. Breakfast was delicious and very generous and served on our balcony. We were surprised at how high up we were with our room having beautiful views. A short walk through some quaint little back streets, and you're right in the middle of town. Lovely, friendly host. Highly recommend.
