The only small downside is that breakfast is served only until 9 AM and must be ordered the day before.

We had only planned a short stay here, but in the end we regretted not staying longer. The rooms were clean and tidy, well-equipped, and even had a heater, which was very useful since the weather was surprisingly cold. The host was very kind and helpful, though her English was a bit harder to understand, but we always managed to communicate. The view from the room was absolutely unforgettable. Hot water worked perfectly. Another big advantage is the location – the train station is only about an 8-minute walk away. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Communication was great and check in easy. The location is only a few minutes from the train station and so it is convenient for train travel. It is a great stop over location. The family we were welcoming and it is good value for money.

Excellent location walkable in 5mins from station and lovely friendly host who gave us tips about getting into town (bus goes into Nuwara Eliya from the top of the road for 75 rupees) and the trains. Comfy bed, hot water and coffee/ tea/ soaps... perfect for breaking up the trip to Ella and seeing the town.

No place to hang my clothes to dry. Would appreciate some hooks or bars to hang items.

Location is right next to the train station which was what I wanted. It was convenient for us arriving late at night and easy for us to head to the train station after check-out, but do note that Nanuoya is 12 km from Nuwara Eliya. I love the awesome wraparound view from the Deluxe Room. The family running the homestay was great, friendly and I appreciated the communications before check-in and them staying up late to wait for us.

Not much food options around the property

It’s a nice stay if u have to catch an early train as it is super near to the railway station. The room is relatively new and clean with an amazing view of the tea valley. Can even see stars from the balcony. The hot shower is very hot as well.

The nights get quite cold and the blankets provided (extra available) could have been thicker. The interaction with the owners while pleasant, was perfunctory and dissimilar to most home stays. If you have large luggage it is NOT convenient to walk to the station (uphill then downhill). The proprietor can call a Tuktuk for SLR300.

Located outside of Nuwara Eliya and away from the main crowds in Hill Country, this place is lovely and surrounded by tea plantations (Glassough and Edinburgh close by). It’s quiet and convenient. There is a Train Cafe that served nice cake and iced ginger tea close by.

The view was beautiful, the location was good for us as we wanted to be close to nana oya station,lovely little walk to a waterfall, the breakfast included was lovely, the best coconut pancakes and banana cake we had during our 21 days in Sri Lanka, owner very kindly let us have a late check out as our train was delayed. The room was huge with windows all the way around.

There was mold in few places in the room. And I would maybe add a mosquito net on the balcony because we couldnt really have opened window.

Staff was very sweet and helpful. They made us amazing breakfast and gave us some local tips. The property was very nice and in a great location for train. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed it. We had a trouble with a toilet but they fixed it immediately. Would really recommend this place again.
